Hi all. Havent been active round here for a couple days, still got exams until the 1st of june

6 exams in a week FML.

Oh @ neil, nice work, glad you're still playing, if i were a gambling man i'd bet you'll be back to 50 and crushing in no time! p.s. when i finish for summer we need to get back our "neil and arran" time, you know what i mean.

Wont be active a ton the next week, and basically no poker at the moment either, my daily poker dreams are getting more vivid from not playing now also which is annoying.

But our last skype session helped a lot. I took your advice to "NIT THE **** UP" and put it on a virtual sticky on my computer. It's going to be my mantra for a while.

Seriously is it the norm now to flat 3b's to setmine? I'm giving them 10/1 (implied odds) with my 3b sizing, and like they do it all the ****ing time.

Bad regs doing this to me all the time If you're 3betting them even a little bit wide then they're lighting money on fire by doing this.

some good coaches even reccomend flatting 3bets "IP" with set mining hands when getting alright odds, like more specifically btn vs blind spots. I think that's only really good if you understand how they play in 3bet pots OR you know they are 3betting a merged range, because then you have the implied odds needed. Thing is most people are 3betting polarised now so set mining loses all value.

Ya if you play well post flop I think you can get away with making some thin calls in position with pp's. The set mining value is obviously super thin because of the small SPR but if you can successfully steal a pot here and there on he flop with a small raise or float its doable.

Another thing to keep in mind is that you don't actually have to turn a profit when flatting 3bets. If your standard open is 3bb then you just need to be better than -3bb/hand when you flat with a hand that you would have folded.

I myself don't like to do it though. If I'm going to flat in position against a reg that is 3betting wide I prefer to do it with hands that can flop good equity so that if I bluff the flop and it doesn't work I still have a nice draw against an overpair.

Make them Pay , make your 3bets huge to the guys that only fold 35% to three bets

One of my mates berating me at a poker night because I thought he lucked out when he bet 2 street's on low boards with ak only to hit an ace on the turn, he keeps tyelling m that what I don't understand is that 'poker' is diff to what I play online, nowhibg to do with ne playing $24nl online sober and playing a £5 sng with 25bb starting stacks with our poker night's,

Decided to play on PKR a few days ago for a bit of a change and the play is soo lol bad on there. 2nl on stars is way better than 4nl on there. I might stick around, ive doubled my intial deposit already and i've probaby played about 500 hands of 4nl soo far.
