Decent session I guess. I started early morning and figured out that I wasn't playing that good. Making stupid moves. So took a break and ran another two sessions. All are pretty short.
Total hands around 800.

Give some thoughts on these two hands.

First one, it's more of a bluff to me from my part. I feel the V's got something like AJ or 10s. Many other hands would make less sense to me.

Thought on last hand:
That is totally wrong LAG play, you are not pot sizing and I am shocked it even worked. Look how tight he is, he clearly has a fantastic hand to be engaging you like that... this is the WRONG WAY TO LAG you do not LAG INTO THE TP this is the one playstyle you need to give most respect as an LAG.

Thought on second last hand.

After his turn behavior I would fear him but that's because I do have a loose image on tables. If your image was tight I can see this as a good play so good job. For me, I'd be digging my own grave there as the person most likely would engage me but I could be wrong.

I would not raise the turn card, I'd just call... Just unnecessary risk imo.

When I started this thread I said that I went down around $40-45 in that very day within one session due to tilt/frustration. (Almost 9 freakin buyins!!!)
From then I think I've really improved a lot. I haven't tilted that much & when it feels like that, I take a break asap.

So guys, I present to you the total progress so far since the very next day which is 25th of October till now at PS 5NL zoom 6max.

I'll put up a full progress graph since the very first days at 5NL zoom at the end of this month.

I'll say this again. I do not give a damn about your input. You lack any kind of gratitude or respect. I have no business with such a person & to hear his thoughts. Sorry for being rude but that sums it up.

Ran another 884 hands on PS 5NL zoom.

And I've got some great news!!!
I just achieved the $300 mark on pokerstars!!! :elefant:

So within 5 days I have taken my BR from $200 to $300!!!
That's one hell of an achievement for me.
And all those sessions haven't been long tiring sessions tbh. They were very relaxed short sessions.

I want to thank you all for the support & help you've given me so far. Without you, this wouldn't be achievable so quickly.

So now I'm ready to try 3 zoom tables at once & maximise my 5NL grind.
We'll see how it goes.

The latest session,
hands - 884
BB/100 - 36.15
Net won - $15.98

So the overall graph for today,

Congrats on the progress Alucard, looked at the two hands above and given the reads seemed fine.

I have gratitude and respect. I am loyal to PokerStars unlike you.

which sums up why you are stuck in play money . You are closed minded and refuse to listen to others input and consider the merits of their arguments when they differ to your current thoughts. Alucard is willing to listen to , consider and implement the ideas that other people give him and now has the basis of an understanding of the theory behind playing winning poker that allows him to profit and reason out which ideas won't work.

Wow alucard! Thats amazing! At this rate you'll be able to play 10NL in no time.

Was it tough to transition from cash games to zoom? I havent tried since 2-3 weeks ago, when i was losing. When you go to cash to zoom and back, do you play differently?

Happy grinding!

Happy grinding!

TBH I don't know what actually changed except for fixing my tilt problem.
But I dialled down my bluffs/unnecessary aggression a lot too.
And I thought to my self that I must beat the zoom pool no matter what it takes.
If you take pokerstars, the zoom pool is a much fishy crowd than the regular tables anyhow.
And I pick my spots when to get value, when & when not to bluff etc. Once you get the hang of how the general player pool plays, you make overall adjustments to be better than them & beat them.
But even if I go to regular tables, I don't think much will change. Except perhaps making some decisions based on more personal player readings.

The most important thing is I know that I'm better than most of the players. I am confident when I'm entering a pot & I try to make the best decisions as possible.
Also I try to play very relaxed sessions as I mentioned earlier.
But it has only been 5 days so far. 3 tabling from now on will be a bit of a challenge. We'll see how it goes.

Thanks for the support as always!

Lost 6.76$ at 2NL in hands: AK vs AA preflop allin, and KK vs QQ vs AA preflop allin.

AA won both times. Oh man this hurts.

Also I bluffed 2 hands in 2000, and got called both times. Another 4.6$ gone.

Yeah not the best session... lost 8.18$

Congrats on your recent results, you appear to be playing some great poker at the moment.
I had a chuckle at the JJ v QQ, I mean I'd be nervous getting it in with QQ there for 175bb effective, there's no way I'd be getting it in with JJ for that amount.
I also don't get his 4 bet sizing, what's he trying to do with JJ in that spot?

Most of it because you looked into & fixed my plays sir.
You have my utmost gratitude :icon_salu

You would have got to where you are now but maybe over a slightly longer time... who knows and it matters not. You have worked very hard on your game and are now reaping some reward. Long may it continue.

The thing is I noticed you were aggressive from the get go and had potential. All great players are naturally aggressive and can bluff easily, it's easier to get a player like you to tone down the aggression to the right levels than it is to get a player who is too passive to up their aggression to the right levels (like me).
You are that 1 in 10 who start off too aggro as opposed to us 9 timid souls who start off too passive.
Both types can become great, having a good understanding of your equity in a hand is the key, then the decision whether to bet, check or fold becomes much easier no matter what your natural tendencies.
I'm sorting of hoping that as everyone gets more aggressive then the natural counter should be to trap more and I'm good at that!
