In the past I always overvalued AKs or AKo. Today I try to have caltela with all hands. AK is just a good hand that may or may not match the flop well. So take it easy. I'm tired of losing with AK in my hand. lol

Often times you're doing battle with just TPTK even if you hit. And if you hit trips the other guy probably doesn't have much you will pay you off with unless he has the 4th A or K and you outkick him. You could be faced with tough decisions when facing aggression. You'll just have to consider the villain tendencies.

would / do you rereraise or even go all in with it preflop even though you face lots of aggression and reraise from an opponent ?

i have often seen pros in high stakes poker or poker after dark reraising and even going all in with it . even very tight players like chris ferguson doing it

they treat AK even AK off suit like AA or KK

whats your take on this ?
Don't like that you have negative ev vs pocket pairs which are hands that are most likely to go all in pre flop, long term you lose for sure

Playing AK that aggressively is only good in certain spots against loose opponents. The problem is that a lot of the time when you have AK you are either blocking strong hand your opponent can have (broadway draws, wheel draws). Then when you do hit there is a good chance that you opponent can suck out.
