I think you've mis-read the hand DrJ. There were 4 spades on the board on the turn. I had 1 spade and he only needed 1 spade for a flush. The river wouldn't make any difference. There's no extra points for 6 spades.

Hypothetical - if the 2 of spades would have come up instead of the A, would you have called?

Almost certainly not. Or any other card for that matter...

you've put alot into the pot anyway and theres only 1 card that can beat you, he probably did have it, but it cant be to bad to get beat by a royal flush, i would of called this though cus it would of left me thinking if i folded if he did have it.

You choice though really, maybe a nice fold, maybe a stupid fold, you will never know!
