The World Poker Tour (WPT) is living up to its name with a new schedule of global events that includes stops in Cambodia, France, Australia, and the Atlantic Ocean.
We’ve still got a few more stops left on the Season XXI schedule, but that hasn’t stopped the WPT’s tournament team from locking in dates for next year.
WPT CEO Adam Pliska announced the first half of Season XXII on October 19, saying that players will have plenty of time to “plan their 2024 schedules” before the WPT World Championship.
WPT Season XXII starts in Cambodia
WPT Season XXII kicks off with a main tour stop at NagaWorld Phnom Penh. WPT Cambodia will run from January 17 to 30, with the $3,500 main event getting underway on January 25.
Next on the schedule is a trip to the ever-popular Thunder Valley Casino Resort in Northern California. WPT Rolling Thunder has long been a popular stop on the tour, with this year’s main event setting a new record at 590 entries. WPT Rolling Thunder 2024 will take place between March 7 and 26, with the main event starting on March 23.

WPT Prime Amsterdam | March 15 to 23 | Holland Casino, Amsterdam |
WPT Rolling Thunder | March 7 to 26 | Thunder Valley Casino, California |

WPT Prime Sanremo | May 31 to June 10 | Casinò di Sanremo, Italy |
The WPT’s main tour will set sail on Virgin Voyages at the end of March for a unique series of tournaments on the sea. Once the cruise liner has finished its trip around the Caribbean and returned to Miami, it’s over to Europe for WPT Prime Slovakia then a red-eye flight to Australia for WPT Prime Gold Coast.
The first half of WPT Season XXII will play out in the US before events in Vietnam and Sanremo take us into the summer.
WPT’s global expansion continues into 2024
Season XXI has been a huge success for the WPT. The World Champion festival at the Wynn Las Vegas brought the previous season to a record-breaking conclusion and that trend has continued throughout 2023. Both WPT main tour and Prime events have set new records and created dozens of champions.
Such has been the level of interest that this year’s WPT World Championship is expected to be bigger than ever. A main event guarantee of $40 million should bring out the masses and, potentially, set the tone for even more growth in 2024.
