PokerStars’ tournament bandwagon makes its annual trip to London this week for what promises to be another bumper UKIPT festival. A potentially record-breaking £1,100 main event tops the bill, but PokerStars has a series of surprises in store between August 2 and 11.

As ever, the Hippodrome Casino will play host to nine days of UKIPT London action, and first up on the docket is a £330 mystery bounty event.

The August 2 event kicks off a run of No Limit Hold’em and Pot Limit Omaha tournaments, including a unique UKIPT London Ambassador Meet-Up Game.

Meet and Beat the Pros in London

Taking place on August 6 at 8 pm, the star-studded game was inspired by Benjamin “Spraggy” Spragg and Parker “Tonkaaaa” Talbot’s recent meet-up game at the WSOP.

As well as giving players the chance to take on PokerStars’ finest, there are bounty prizes up for grabs in the £220 freezeout. Each PokerStars Ambassador has a £100 cash bounty on their head, but that’s not all.

Anyone who takes down a pro also gets an envelope containing one of two mystery prizes: a $109 Power Path Bronze Pass or a Silver Pass worth $2,500.

Finally, to make sure UKIPT London’s Ambassador Meet-Up Game is as action-packed as possible, the winner gets prize money and a free seat in November’s UKIPT Nottingham main event.

UKIPT London Remains a Summer Classic

UKIPT London is always one of the tour’s liveliest stops. The UK’s capital has plenty of off-the-felt activities for players to enjoy, so people travel from all parts of the country to play.

That’s why London is the obvious choice to continue the Meet-Up Game trend Spraggy and Tonkaaaa started at the WSOP. Of course, it’s not all bounty-based fun at UKIPT London.

The “serious” business of playing for a UKIPT main event title starts on August 4. Direct entry costs £1,100, and there are three starting days to choose from (August 4, 8, and 9).

For those who can’t stretch to that amount, a final series of qualifiers are taking place inside the Hippodrome Casino between August 2 and 9, costing £125 and £250.

Something for Everyone in London

Rounding out the schedule alongside a selection of side events are the £2,200 High Roller (August 7 to 8), the £330 UKIPT Cup (August 10 to 11), and the £220 Women’s Event (August 11).

One final notable addition to the schedule is the £220 8-game event. Taking place on August 11, the mixed game tournament adds another layer of excitement to what looks set to be one of the best UKIPT London festivals in recent years.
