Ian Steinman (APokerJoker2) advanced to the final table for the third time in the 2020 World Series of Poker Online Bracelet Series in Monday’s $400 No-Limit Hold’em Freezeout event. After falling short of the top spot in his last two appearances at the final table, Steinman cashed in this time around with a victory in Event #27 for a WSOP bracelet and the first-place prize of $110,557.

Steinman Takes a Narrow Lead Over Kuhn and Torgersen on the Online Leaderboard

Heading into Monday’s event, the race for the top spot on the WSOP Online Series $100,000 Leaderboard was looking like a two-horse race between Robert Kuhn (BustinBalls) and Ryan Torgersen (Im.Sorry). But with Kuhn and Torgersen both failing to cash in the event, and Steinman winning it outright, he’s taken the top spot on the leaderboard.

The three players entered Tuesday neck-and-neck in the standings, with APokerJoker2 sitting in the No. 1 spot with 2,908.10 points, ahead of BustinBalls at 2,864.67 points and Im.Sorry at 2828.38 points. The formula for calculating a player’s rank on each leaderboard is the square root of (buy-ins times entrants divided by position).

All three players have won a bracelet this summer, and each has made multiple final tables. The winner of this promotional event will earn an $18,000 bonus in addition to being crowned the player of the series. The top 50 players on the leaderboard will earn their share of a $100,000 prize pool that will pay out $12,000 to second place, $9,000 to third, $7,000 to fourth, and $5,000 to fifth.
