Have you ever been on one of those runs where it’s like you strap on a pair of titanium skies and harness a mystical beast to skim across the surface of the sun? Yeah, me neither. But Joey Weissman just did it at the PokerGO Cup series that just wrapped up at the Aria in Las Vegas.
Weissman is the PokerGO Cup Champion for kicking butt in the series. His results are:
Event #1: $5,100 NL Hold’em – 2nd place for $123,900
Event #2: $10,100 NL Hold’em – 1st place for $295,000
Event #4: $10,100 NL Hold’em – 2nd place for $161,700
Event #8: $25,200 NL Hold’em – 2nd place for $350,000
As the champion of the series, he earned a $25,000 PGT Passport bonus, which can be used to buy-in any PGT event. His success in the series also put him on the top of the PGT leaderboard, leaping ahead of Kristen Foxen, who started the year on the PGT red-hot.
But Weissman is en fuego.
He has made the final table of the PGT his home in 2025, adding a 7th, 6th, and a 4th to three runner-ups and a victory through two consecutive PGT series. His second and third best lifetime cash came within a week in February. He’s won $1,00,530 so far in 2025.

Eric Blair’s rebuttal
Weissman’s results overshadowed Eric Blair’s, but just barely, as Blair racked up two wins in the series and also a tenth-place finish. He also scored a fourth in the PGT Kickoff $5,300 event that started the year for $53,550, as well as a 13th-place finish in a $10,100 event for $23,250. That series took place right before the PGT Cup.
He now sits in third place on the PGT leaderboard with five cashes and two wins on the year.
A few days in February highlights Blair’s poker career so far, as he scored his best two lifetime cashes within three days with two wins on the PGT. He first won $254,800 in Event #4, a $10,100 affair, before taking down Event #6, a $15,100 buy-in contest for $352,350.
That’s a good chunk of the $3.3 million he has in lifetime earnings, according to the Hendon Mob. He’s on a serious rush:
The PGT is now holding its Mixed Games Series until March 4, before rolling into the Super High Roller Bowl series March 5-6. Then it’s the Pot Limit Omaha series from March 24 through April 5. After that it’s the U.S. Poker Open, a nine event series that runs until April 16.
