The Golden Nugget Grand Poker Series schedule is out and 2022 looks to be a big year for them. The Grand Series has long been a favorite for players who favor smaller buy-ins but still want to play for a big prize pool. Located in a huge ballroom, the Grand Series has room for huge fields and the guarantees offered in this series seems to indicate that they are expecting exactly that.
As the only tournament series in downtown Vegas, you’ll find cheap lodging close by, good meals that won’t break your bankroll, and on days when Bally’s is packed you will probably be able to get into a cash game about a hundred yards from the tournament area.
The schedule includes a host of unique events, including ladies, seniors, super seniors, and multiple mixed-game events. A mystery bounty event should draw a nice field as well. And one of the biggest draws will be the Ultimate Re-entry event which has nine starting flights and bagging twice awards the player a $1,500 bonus and sends only the best stack into day two. Players can play every flight and anytime they make it through to day two after the first they get the $1,500 bonus.
The Golden Nugget’s big summer series for 2022 is very ambitious with some big guarantees, but they always seem to hit their guarantees and draw big fields of locals to go with the tourists in town for the World Series Of Poker.
