GGPoker is adding another major online poker event for the community during the coronavirus pandemic. The poker site promoted by Daniel Negreanu is teaming up with the WSOP in early May for an 18-tournament, online Circuit series.
It should be noted that this series isn’t available to players in the US. The Super Circuit Online Series is only available in countries where online poker is legal. But for those of you who reside in Canada, the UK, or other places with legal internet gambling, you’re in luck.
GGPoker is an up-and-coming poker site, so much so that Negreanu is now the face of the company. The Poker Hall of Famer left PokerStars, the company he represented for more than a decade, last year. You won’t be able to compete against him in the upcoming online series, however, as he’s quarantining in his Las Vegas home. Still, the juicy action and the potential to win a Circuit ring should be enticing to many poker players.
Huge Series at GGPoker
Though GGPoker and the WSOP have yet to finalize the schedule, the newly announced series is offering players the chance to compete for one of 18 genuine World Series of Poker Circuit rings. According to a press release, dates, buy-ins, and a complete schedule will be announced soon.
Despite the lack of detail, we do know that the mega-series will last for approximately three weeks, leading up to the live 2020 WSOP in Las Vegas — should that festival actually take place.
Negreanu also had some big news to announce for GGPoker. The six-time bracelet winner said on Twitter that the site will soon add a new ambassador. He wouldn’t disclose the name, but instead wants his followers to guess the player, and a winner will receive a valuable prize.

We’ll take a stab in the dark here and guess the correct answer is Phil Ivey.
