GGPoker is opening its Road to Vegas and the 2023 WSOP with a special promotion that could land one online qualifier a $1 million bonus prize.
With the 2023 World Series of Poker (WSOP) fast approaching, the festival’s official partner, GGPoker, has announced it will send 600 qualifiers to Las Vegas. 500 WSOP Main Event tickets will be won on GGPoker’s dot.com network. A further 100 will be given away on the company’s free-play subscription site, ClubGG.
In addition to winning a seat in the $10,000 WSOP Main Event, all 600 GGPoker qualifiers are eligible to win a $1 million bonus prize. The bonus prize will be paid to any qualifier who wins the Main Event.
WSOP winner wins twice with GGPoker
Winning a seat in the WSOP Main Event and then getting through 8,000+ players to become World Champion is no mean feat. However, the fact GGPoker is adding a bonus on top of what’s likely to be a $10 million top prize definitely sweetens the pot.
Having said that, the pot is pretty sweet already. The 600 who play their way to the end of GGPoker’s Road to Vegas get their seat in the WSOP Main Event, as well as a bundle of extras. The full $12,000 prize package includes:
- A seat in the $10,000 WSOP Main Event
- Accommodation at the Horseshoe Las Vegas Hotel & Casino for seven nights from July 1 to 8
- $1,000 for travel expenses
- A $1 million bonus for winning the 2023 WSOP Main Event
- GGPoker merchandise and gifts
- Access to the GGPoker Platinum Lounge at the WSOP
Anyone who wins their seat in the 2023 Main Event via GGPoker will, essentially, enjoy a free ride. What’s more, any prize money a qualifier wins in the Main Event is theirs to keep.
GGPoker Ambassador Daniel Negreanu said he’s already “dreaming of Main Event glory” and is excited to welcome qualifiers to the Horseshoe Las Vegas in July.
WSOP Main Event seats from $0.05
Qualifiers for the 2023 WSOP Main Event on GGPoker start at $0.05. The five-cent flip & go tournaments act as steps towards bigger buy-in satellites. Players can enter the qualification ladder at any point they feel comfortable, but the end goal is always the same: winning a $12,000 WSOP package.
500 players on GGPoker are guaranteed to successfully make it down the Road to Vegas, and 100 more will qualify via ClubGG. CardsChat has also learned that WSOP packages are up for grabs on WSOP.ca, which is linked to GGPoker.
CardsChat forum moderator and recent PSPC Platinum Pass winner Chris Robinson spotted the satellites listed in the WSOP.ca lobby. That means players in the ring-fenced province of Ontario, Canada, can play for two WSOP packages each week.
With the 2022 WSOP Main Event almost breaking the all-time attendance record, hopes are high that new standards will be set this year. At least 600 players will be wearing GGPoker patches throughout the tournament and, if one of them makes it to the end, they’ll not only win the champion’s purse but a $1 million bonus.
