Personally, I'm pretty nervous here online poker is played to players like me on hand. You can do a breathing warm-up and calm yourself down in different ways, but the opponent can take advantage of it in person.

Of course, I think people are lying if they are not, no mater how many times they reach final tables. It is a natural human instinct. Nerves happen in all walks of life, in many scenarios. It is how people channel these nerves is the key. Are you going to use these nerves as a positive or a negative, experience helps.

I think that everyone is nervous and the closer to the final table the more. I remember how I played at the beginning of my career even for virtual money. I was very worried at my first tournament that even my palms were sweaty.

I think I get nervous on the bubble, because there's the possibility of us losing with the best hand and being out of the money, at the final table I think the pressure is different, to fall in the best position.

I feel like it's more excitement than nervousness for me reaching final table.

I look at it as reaching one of the goals I had for the tourney & then start checking out the other players stacks & relative position & reviewing notes. I have played well & I have played poorly at final table, neither has had a profound effect on my life to date. Focus on the game & the nerves tend to not be a big issue.

on the contrary, here you need to try to calm down and make informed decisions, of course, it all depends on what kind of final table it is; if it's a final table in a $1 tournament, then I don't see any reason to worry at all, but if it's a final table of a major tournament with a big buy-in and a prize pool, then you can change your life significantly, then nervousness can be in any In any case, you should try to play your game and not make mistakes

Hello,
I don't always make it to the final table but when I make it to the final table I usually focus a bit more on the game, if you have noticed once you reach the final table they have spent a couple of hours playing it made our brain tired too, being a random game it is difficult to control some situations:D

At the final table, I don't have a feeling of satisfaction or fear, but rather a feeling of pride that I made it to the final from a certain set of players. And before the final table, there is already excitement or fear in the process when you go all-in or participate in a multiway pot.

I'm not nervous on FT's. My main focus turns that player by player we are winning bigger, so I'm just trying to make the most of the pay-jumps.

I can relate to being nervous before FT, when you are really deep, but the table has some structure where you 'll need double-up(s) or just some light players makes your way harder.

As at this stage many hours have usually passed and maybe you are tired or hungry, this can end up influencing... Maybe keeping an eye out for that might help a little too (in relation to the advantages and disadvantages that you or the opponent takes, it is present from the beginning of the tournament to the end according to the style of play of each one)

I think it's normal to get nervous but apart from the nerves we have to control the anxiety that invades us to win the tournament. On line the nerves can be less than the anxiety of being in the 1, 2 but live the nerves are greater.

Overall I dont get nervous at the final table anymore. On a really big event a little but not very often. After a while you get more used to making the final table. Not excitement is one thing I do get when I make the final table. Its always exciting to get to a final table knowing how close you are to winning it all.

Final table

As others have said once I get to the final table it becomes more excitement then nerves. granted depending on where I am as far as chip count I will play a bit more cautious and let others take each other out so I move up a notch.

GL ALL :D

I get nervous early in a live game if I haven't played live for awhile. But within a few hands I'm calm and back to business. Your first couple of final tables you will be nervous but after that you should settle in and be fine.

For me it's more of nervous excitement. Every time I get to final table or into the money I remind myself that the feeling I have is WHY I play poker that rush, that increased heart rate, that fist pumping on a good win.... I love those feelings and earning it feels good, nervous yes, good yes and excited yes!!

Lately I've only been playing freerolls, and making the money in these tournaments is already a huge achievement, now reaching a final table is a glory. I've managed to get close to the final table a couple of times, but the big problem is that most of the time, I got very short in chips. I once managed to finish third in a freeroll tournament that had 2,340 players, and for me that was quite an achievement. Good luck to everyone at the tables.:)

I don't have nerves but it's probably because I play low levels, when it's a final table of a big tournament I'll probably feel nervous, but I can play with nerves without it affecting my game I think:p:p:jd4::jd4::jd4::jd4:

I think I'm a little nervous, but I'm usually more tired because it usually takes 3 or more hours of playing in Mtt tournaments to get to the final table.

So sometimes I make some bad decisions because of fatigue and waiting for the tournament to end as soon as possible, than because of nervousness.

Skill and experience levels are ALWAYS the reason you may see some of the same players at FTs. Luck is a small factor, but a savvy pro can minimize any bad luck with skillful play

if it's the ft of a satellite or deep stack/non bh tournament I'll be nervous but at a bh ft I know I will have made enough in heads and the ladders won't matter AS much as a non bh tourney

It definitely depends on the stakes etc. But I tend to get a little nervous when reaching at the final table. I guess this is somewhat natural.
