Study heads up play. When you do manage to get heads up with someone you need to know what you’re doing, it’s not like you can just wing it now. Have good strong strategies and be prepared and when it does happen you will have the edge.

This is a real chance, the main thing is not to be afraid, to understand your opponent's actions and decisions well, to play aggressively enough and to choose the right moment for a trap :)

Be luckier than the other player.

The edge is very small for the better player if the stacks aren't deep and the match goes on for a long time.

My main advice is not to play only valuable hands AK AQ, etc... this way the opponent will read your game and will not pay any of your bets. He risks more than usual, if you don't risk the opponent will try to bluff you for most of the heads-up. And if he sees that you climb him he will leave immediately because he deduces that you have good cards

Heads-Up is considered the hardest game to play, as victory here is determined by the skills that distinguish a professional player - the ability to read the opponent, the ability to adapt to his style of play and make quick adjustments to your own strategy, aggression, tilt resistance. And only then - mathematics, although, by and large, it plays almost no role in heads-up.
