Use selective aggression

When you enter a pot, enter by betting or raising, especially in late position. This puts pressure on your opponents and helps you win pots without a showdown.

if you have a good hand, don't let the whole table gather in a multipot with limps; it's better to knock everyone out of your hand right away with a big bet than to turn your multipot hand into just a top pair
