If you are bluffing the river it needs to be big. How big depends on if your opponent. If they are a Station don’t bluff the river, make a big value bet here when you have a good enough hand.

There is no ready-made answer to this. It will depend on the type of opponent and even how the table sees you.
And what's more, who told you that my hand is weak?

The river is a great time to bluff, especially if there are strong possible hands (straight, flush) on the board that you represent. By making a confident bet or raise, you can force your opponents to fold and win the pot, even if you have a weak hand.It is important to consider what bets and actions your opponents made on previous streets (preflop, flop, turn). This will give you clues about what cards they may have. Also watch your opponents' behavior on the river. The time it takes them to make a decision and their reactions will give you information about the strength of their hand.

Depends on about a million different things. One thing I will say the tighter and more nitty you play the more likely I'll fold. But then it likely wouldn't be a bluff. Because nits don't bluff. They either have it or give up and check.

You also just can't bluff any old river. The way you played your hand from preflop(start) to the river has to make sense with the story(bluff) you're trying to run. That's why majority of players fail and get called when bluffing. Their story simply doesn't and never makes sense from start to finish. If the story doesn't make sense a decent/good player is calling every time. As he should.

And if you're trying to bluff in micro's or freerolls you must just hate having money and love pissing it away for no reason. Don't bluff in micros. Value bet bigger when you have it.

Cheers!!!

Dont run big bluffs on multiple streets and choose the opponents u want to bluff wisely. To never ever bluff on micros/freerolls is an advice from the past imo.

U want to run small bluffs in the right situations.

Mostly agree.....

Long as you sell your story from preflop to river, it makes sense and villain is a player capable of folding then yeah run the bluff in micros. Still plenty of calling stations in micro's thou so you really better know the player.

Cheers!!!

The story does not even have to make sense all the time since a lot of players on micros only see their own hand and do not think about the range of their opponent(s). It's just a matter of if they have part of the board or not.

But yeah u need to know the player and u also need to be willing to give up on ur bluffs and don't run real big bluffs on multiple streets.

Should I bet and then fold?
Your question contains the answer. Of course, it all depends on the game, but I follow my own rules and just don't play with junk, so in my case, I don't have such questions :)

I think it depends on who you are facing, on the knowledge you have of that player, I am not going to say that they should make a big bluff but as I say many times it depends on what you see in the players at the table.

I think it really depends on your opponent. Some may fold to small raise but some may call with a pair even you shove all in.

Play a weak hand without looking at the opponent's bet to judge and make a wise decision.
