Tight aggressive can be a good strategy. But the best strategy in the end is the study of poker through books and sites like cardschat that have game tutorials, experience, you have to play many hands to really know how to find the game that suits you best, and a lot of patience, at the beginning. the worst mistake is wanting to get everything quickly when really in poker, patience is a game tool that can not be missing. Regards.

Young players always watch a lot of the flop when they start playing poker. This is from ignorance of the specifics of the game. Over time, the experience of the game comes to each player.

Hi.
The solution is to just not play with junk. Usually, ingenious things are very simple. :)

Perfect your game in stacks starting 30BBs and less. That means you gotta learn the differences of playing in such stack sizes as 1-15bbs, 16-22BBs, 23-35BBs (rough estimation). Each of them has its own nuances. Ability to play these stack sizes (and against each of these stack sizes) is what is the skill in MTT, because in tournaments the majority of time you gonna be playing in stacks under 30-35BBs, and it's the stack sizes of important pay jumps and final tables as well.

I think you have to be selective when playing hands and be aware of what the other players are doing

Yes, you're right.

but there are also other factors that can help you go far in a tournament or even win, for example:

- selection of hands to play.
- game strategy at the beginning of the tournament.
-Game strategy near the bubble.
- Strategy after the bubble.
- ICM and stack relationship.
- reading opponents.
- And many other strategies.

I could say that patience is a fundamental part of playing tournaments better, and knowing how to take advantage of strong hands.

Quit simple study spots, looking where you struggle the most, do some database analysis. Or getting a coach to help u.
