my first game online was a $1 buyin MTT on FUlltilt in 2007. I placed in 2nd out of 900+ entrants & I won $114.00 I was hooked! My first freeroll was here on CardsChat. I didn't go far, but it was a great experience. It helped me to play with more concentration. Do you remember your first freeroll?
I remember those days. You could win consistently just by being disciplined. I'm not sure that's possible anymore. Something's changed.my first game online was a $1 buyin MTT on FUlltilt in 2007. I placed in 2nd out of 900+ entrants & I won $114.00 I was hooked!
In year 2000 Pokerstars did not exist and I call fiction writer on that post.Yes, it was on PokerStars, there were a lot of freerolls there then, it was 25 years ago, I won 16 dollars.
I can’t remember when I played my first game, but I do remember playing with you on the team called ‘Crazy Canucks’ 🇨🇦 on FullTilt. They were good times and still miss them. 🥲my first game online was a $1 buyin MTT on FUlltilt in 2007. I placed in 2nd out of 900+ entrants & I won $114.00 I was hooked!
Each to his own I guess. I remember spending 7 - 8 hours in mega-freerolls (many thousands of entrants) making it to the final table or two more often than not, with little to no understanding of the game. I do much worse now that I have a much better understanding. Has a lot to do with patience I guess, or lack thereof. I see people today who are ultra-tight who do well by just sitting and waiting. I find that works for me too, but only on those rare days when I have an abundance of patience.I don't remember my first freeroll, but I do remember playing it with basic knowledge and not understanding much more than the rules of the game.
It's remarkable how much you improve over time.
