Nice quads! What were you trying to represent by over betting? Was it just for protection against the flush/straight?

Very nice hand, love playing against opponents like that especially with the nuts as they don't tend to fold. Make that note, I actually loved the big bet on the flop, I normally bet pot there.

Thank you my friend. I overbet the flop both for the value of the set and also to try to protect myself from possible incomplete flushes remaining in the hand.

Very nice hand, love playing against opponents like that especially with the nuts as they don't tend to fold. Make that note, I actually loved the big bet on the flop, I normally bet pot there.

I also thought about betting the value of the pot, but because I had already cracked and had the possibility of improving my hand a lot on the turn/river, I thought about an overbet for possible flushes and incomplete sequences that remained in the hand.

Stopped on flop action while watching---How strong is your hand vs all possible hands? It is a great exercise to see how far down the list from best hand to ours so 86ss best hand would check to us--63ss second best then All Axss count the combos Kxss qxss Jxss Txss 9xss 86o for straight 64o for straight 77 55 then us Do we really want to bet over pot when we are so far down the nut tree?

Turn what is our plan? if it is to get stacks in why 500? What are we targeting? would what we are targeting not call more? Would we consider block bet inducing- would we consider check raising?

luckily we were vs a very weak player good win---we would however most often want to employ turn tactics to get more value or stacks in as we cannot always count on our V to be bad at math on rivers and make this silly bluff into all of the above nut combos when he only blocks 2 hands

These are great tips. I'm going to analyze what the nuts of those card combinations are before betting with incomplete hands. Check would be the best play on this flop.

Value betting is really a topic that I need to improve in my game.
