Standard.

If the turn-river had come, say 7h-Kd, would you be posting this? :)

Still, I am curious as to what members think about calling a fairly small bet with second pair. I folded a crap load yesterday when I kept betting second pair would get re-raised and then fold. I was spewiing chips and some general advice in this area would be nice.

I would definatly call.. only few hands to worry about are Q,3.. 88's, and 2's... this guy was either betting on a Queen with K.Q... A,Q why he didn't raise pre flop with that is crazy... but I would have called with a fullhouse that is like 4th-5th hand from here.

However I would have folded on the flop after his bet cause the 3 kicker would be smashed by any person holding a much much better kicker not to mention the Q destroys your 8.

Tim, obviously you've got 3 options here - fold, call or raise.

You could have called to see an extra card (would have to have been a 3 or an 8 so you haven't got correct pot odds at the moment, but if you thought you could double up this could be an option), but you've not really got much room to manouvre with just 800 chips, and there is a player still to act behind you, who could re-raise, so I dont think this is a calling situation.

You could raise instead (my choice), to see if the initial bettor has got a Q or is just continuation betting - by raising you're pot committing so if he has got Q and re-raises, you'll need to call and hope.

Or you could fold.

Of course, if you're asking whether or not you should fold middle pair because it could turn into a full house, then that's a stupid question!

Folding second pair no kicker when bet into in a tiny unraised pot is standard for me. Why bother getting involved? If he is betting with hands that even second pair no kicker can beat then I'll find plenty of better spots against him.

I think u made the right decision.

U don`t say, or u don`t say if u found out the big stack was bluffing.

\For me, with the chip stack u had, I would have save the chips 4 a better hand.

Chip leader might have been bullying, but he could have had pkt QQ, Q8, 88, 22, Q2, 82, etc.

I would wait until Chip leader trys the same when u have the nuts (or at least top pair and good kicker) then try to frighten him with a big or all in bet. If he calls and u r out, so be it. He might at that stage get the message.

Please, don't post what came on the turn. If you're interested in the decision on the flop, it's only detrimental to find out what came next.
