Limit tournament, makeufamous total fish, plays anything that breathes, preraise plays a little better hand selection but not much more. Mostly hopes to catch at end.

pokerstars Game #6984495466: Tournament #35634694, $1.50+$0.25 Hold'em
Limit - Level V (150/300) - 2006/11/11 - 17:28:11 (ET)
Table '35634694 1' 9-max Seat #6 is the button
Seat 1: Airdelloth (1320 in chips)
Seat 2: klitkat (2710 in chips)
Seat 3: Snigla (2095 in chips)
Seat 5: makeufamous (2510 in chips)
Seat 6: preraise (1370 in chips)
Seat 7: beteboop (3115 in chips)
Seat 9: lisabay101 (380 in chips)
beteboop: posts small blind 75
lisabay101: posts big blind 150
*** HOLE CARDS ***
Dealt to klitkat [9c 9s]
Airdelloth: folds
klitkat: raises 150 to 300
Snigla: folds
makeufamous: calls 300
preraise: calls 300
beteboop: folds
lisabay101: folds

I put both on just having high cards here. Usually an A rag.

*** FLOP *** [7s Kh Ks]
klitkat: bets 150
makeufamous: folds
preraise: calls 150

No info here. I still put him on an A

*** TURN *** [7s Kh Ks] [Kc]
klitkat: bets 300
preraise: calls 300

Full house for me. He's still with me. No raise.

*** RIVER *** [7s Kh Ks Kc] [7h]
klitkat: bets 300
preraise: raises 300 to 600
klitkat: calls 300

I'm thinking he's trying to push me off. Or he's looking to split pot.

*** SHOW DOWN ***

Should anything been done different here?

I don't think there is much else you could have done here short of just check/fold the flop. As a super jumbo fish as you describe him, having a Kx isn't out of the question, regardless of it being less likely because two Ks flopped. My question is, how aggressive is this person once they make their hand, usually? If they are aggressive once they've made it, you could check the flop for your answer. A check behind you would mean play it out, but a bet probably means fold.

However, knowing how this person plays from your description, I think your plays are okay here, IMO. I would have likely played it the same way. Having said that, once you're at the river, I think you have to call the $300 raise. By my calculations, there is $2925 in the pot, so I would have to auto-call this for $300 more. There are only five hands that beat you, an over-pair or a Kx.

I was just about to say you should have raised more and bet more, when I saw ..... it was a Limit game. I agree with JD - you gave him plenty of opportunities to fold, but you've got to have a look for an extra 300 chips. The only question is to whether you should have checked the river instead of bet, but i think the bet is OK, as he could easily have thought the board was good.

Usually if he had something he would play with all guns blazing.

Then maybe checking the flop or turn would have told you more in this case, but on the flip side, he wasn't reraising (guns blazing), so to me that's definitely a call.

I would fully expect to win this hand.

I'm no limit player, but *surely* you would have seen a reraise (you can still reraise in limits, right?) at some point with higher PP. I'd pay off a King because it's so unlikely.

I'd reraise on the river as well.

Here's the results.

*** SHOW DOWN ***
preraise: shows [Kd Qc] (four of a kind, Kings)
klitkat: shows [9c 9s] (a full house, Kings full of Nines)
preraise collected 3225 from pot
*** SUMMARY ***
Total pot 3225 | Rake 0
Board [7s Kh Ks Kc 7h]
Seat 1: Airdelloth folded before Flop (didn't bet)
Seat 2: klitkat showed [9c 9s] and lost with a full house, Kings full of
Nines
Seat 3: Snigla folded before Flop (didn't bet)
Seat 5: makeufamous folded on the Flop
Seat 6: preraise (button) showed [Kd Qc] and won (3225) with four of a
kind, Kings
Seat 7: beteboop (small blind) folded before Flop
Seat 9: lisabay101 (big blind) folded before Flop

Caught me but I limited the loss. That's the one bonus of limit.

Not much you can do about that, but the call is still justifiable. So while you lost the hand, I think you did the right thing.
