MTT (182 entries). L6, late reg over. 52 to ITM.

• In CO (~35bb), we get 3s 3d
  • UTG+1 (strong, aggressive, 20bb) bets 2.5bb
  • MP (loose, passive, 30bb)
  • We call
• F: 10c 9d 3c
  • Both UTG+1 and MP goes all-in, is it a Call or Fold?

Our analysis -

• We were getting ready for a call up till MP shoved that got us thinking.
• This is a draw heavy board for straight and flush that we don't beat.
• MP shove means, we have to invest ~85% of our stack and we are dead if any draw reaches there or if any of the players has a bigger set.
• We decided to wait for a better opportunity.

UTG+1 was on a flush draw, MP was on a straight draw. By river, both of them made their draws.

But whoever I have asked they recommended a Call in this spot. For me investing 85% of the stack in a MTT for such a draw heavy board was not a good choice. What am I missing here?

If you were not happy to stack off, when you flopped a set, why did you call preflop? This was a dream spot, and you should beat them into the pot. You are missing the fact, that to win tournaments you need to accumulate chips, and you dont do that by folding the best hand to avoid the risk of getting drawn out on.

Unless this is a weak/pass. table I'm folding this preflop (it's prime squeezing material)... unless you're flatting AA/KK (because it is not a weak/pass table, lol).
And as funnydiver already stated, you should be overjoyed to be getting it in here. Two of them? Great! We get a shot at tripling up.
Honestly this is a great spot here! Folding is a crime.
