Not much info on the UTG+1 he played only 8 hands at this table and has a VPIP 50 but is a bit irrelevant for this info.

Do you guys think folding is an option here on turn?

This is a tough spot you got yourself in. We are OOP in a now a pot that is getting bigger with top pair bad kicker, a very vulnerable top pair at that.
I think we are just done with this hand. He did his job telling me he has the best hand and so far we have only put in 8.77.
Why not just 3 bet your T9s pre flop and see how serious he is. We never once tried to take this hand over. We can check raise the flop here if we don’t 3 bet pre flop and see what he does.

Readless just make a snug fold, you need a solid read to be continuing on the turn Vs what should be a strong range and this much aggression.

Danny mentioned 3 betting pre. This is a (minority) play but not one I'd recommend readless in a tiny buy in MTT, you'll too often end up in a bloated pot, out of position - villains will not be folding enough - and you then need to know exactly how to play post flop (You can see how tricky this can get, you've made top pair and still don't know what to do). I'm not a fan of check raising the flop readless either, we have a marginal value hand so would the check-raise be a bluff, a value bet?? In UTG+1 opening range, what better hands folding, worse calling?

Your line as played is fine, it probably goes without saying just try and build up reads as quickly as possible.

Perhaps that is a question that GTO wizard free version can solve for you too,
but thanks to this question, it helps me to improve my work with solving and tools.

From a GTO view you can play about a 50:50 version of call and fold with your Tc9c.
But I think due to the range advantage that UTG+1 has and 2 barrels of more than 70% pot size you will run into
an over pair like JJ+, a set of 88 or TT, or something like ATs, KTs, QTs, JTs due to the range UTG+1 opens preflop.
You will not make a flush on the river.
You will only have 2 cards (9h, 9d) that may help you, if villain has not hit a set, because villain can also hold top pair with flushdraw on the turn if he plays (KsTs, QsTs, JsTs, Ts9s),.
An additional out may be the Th in case of villain plays only the overpairs.

I think these are too less combos to risk the tournament life.

There is no exploitative play in this scenario.

Sorry, yes and perhaps on the flop, because of the nearly 90% pot betsize.
Kicker and BDFD is too weak to continue.
Yes I meant overfold on the flop.
I know GTO will continue to the river some %age but that is vs all the bluffs GTO can play, humans will struggle to find them all, especially at $2.50 level.
