Not much info here since we played only 8 hands.

My question here is for the Turn play. Is calling here wrong?

Don't open J9ss UTG on a full table with no reads at the micros.

You have second pair, no draw on the turn. If there was any time to put more into the pot it was the flop. Now that time has passed. The turn call was just burning $.
What did you hope to hit? Another J? 2pair that would complete a possible straight draw? What would you have done if a 9 of diamonds came up?

Things to think about when putting in chips.

As played, with that board, give up and move on.

When we do not have any player specific info we have to rely on GTO range information---In this spot both our V have strong ranges that hit this board. When we are against 2 strong ranges we check this board most often. I would check fold as we may be close to dead on this flop.:geek:

J9s isn't typically something played from UTG with 8 players. As played, you are hoping to maybe connect hard on the flop or at least have some strong draws. You got neither and you aren't improving much against your opponents ranges on later streets. There's nothing good coming on the river for you so folding to the turn bet would have been best.
