I think I may bet against the Vipers for the next few weeks but that will be about it. Aaron Murray looked bad throwing the ball, the receivers looked bad trying to catch the ball. I think I will get pretty good odds for the first game and the Dragons at least looked competitive. I am a micro stakes gambler so a couple dollars won't be a big deal if I do end up losing.

I did watch the games and from an entertainment side of it I was more impressed than I expected to be. It reminded me of watching 2 mid-tier NCAA football teams playing. It was decent football. Not the nfl but still competitive football. A million times better than the original FL was.
From a gambling perspective there were a few nuggets to take from this weekend but it's still very early to know what you have with each team. I would be very skeptical to place a bet on about anything XFL related yet.

It will be around for at least 3 years as Vince already financed that long. After watching last weekend I was impressed and hope it succeeds. I also think it will be good for the NFL because not all players develop real well right out of the draft and this gives them a little more time to not fall off the map. The thing I really like about it is the players make more money for winning the game, giving incentive no matter how bad the team is. That is probaly the downfall to bettting on them, in the NFL when a team is bad, they dont make less money for losing and they tank it.
