There is a good debate going around of who should be the MVP of the 2013 NFL season. Some people are saying Tom Brady would be a good MVP, considering he has led the Patriots to an 11-4 record with a vast amount of injuries to key players. Cam Newton is another player who deserves MVP. He played a huge part in turning Carolina into a playoff team, after having 15 wins in the last 3 seasons.

That being said, I think my NFL MVP has to go to Peyton Manning. He has led the Broncos to the Top of the AFC, set the NFL record for TD passes in a season, and he might get the record for most passing yards in a season. Who do you all think should be the NFL MVP for this season?

Peyton Manning hands down! 51 tds and 5k yards! 1st time ever in a single season and his team has clinched their division and may be the #1 seed! Some talking heads are saying it could be unanimous. I doubt that but he should win it easily. P.S I am NOT a bronco fan! Go TITANS!

don't really see how it could not be Peyton Manning. He is leading a championship contending team with one of the best seasons in the history of the league.

It's Peyton. No other answer right now. Shady might be in the discussion if the Eagles go far, like even to the NFC Championship. But NO it's Peyton.

Peyton is great and all, but not considering Jamaal Charles for MVP is insane. Like Manning, Charles IS the offense, but he takes more of a beating and carries a tougher workload.

I agree it has to be Peyton manning. How can you argue with the record setting year that he had this year. Give him the MVP also so he feels better after being bounced from the first round of the playoffs. No way that he makes it to the Super Bowl this year. It will be too cold for manning anyways.

Hahahaha. Yeah he's probably bye week and done...

Aside from Charles, how do you not consider Brady? He didn't have a statistically awesome year, but he took that team to 11 wins and a division championship/playoff berth with a relatively weak supporting cast. Look at his weapons compared to Manning's. Give him Welker/Thomas/J. Thomas/Decker/Moreno. Something tells me he'd break 50 TD's too...

He is clearly the MVP of his team. and having a great year. Certainly the 5 TD game was impressive and brought a lot of attention to him. And I would certainly put him in the conversation for 1st runner up, but it's a very distant one IMO.

Peyton has had a record-breaking season. Pass TD record, only QB to get 50 TDs and 5000 yds in a season, and just 265 yds away from Drew Brees' record for 5,476 pass yds, which he will probably break this Sun @ OAK. With a win OR Pats loss, they have HFA, primed to make it to the SB or at least an AFC Championship game.

Antonio Brown.

Leading the NFL in receptions broke the Steelers receiving record (Yards), not to mention that he is a rookie.

Oh did I mention he did all this while on the 7-8 struggling Steelers team?

Of course Manning did break the TD record and is having an amazing year so yeah. lol

Rookie?!? While clearly having the best year of his career, Antonio is in his 4th year. Now HE would be nowhere in the running for MVP. Charles at least has 19 TDs (Brown has 8, nothing to write home about - Broncos have 4 wideouts AND Moreno who each have 10 or more TDs ), both Charles and McCoy have way more total yds from scrimmage as well.

I consider first 4 years rookie lol not his rookie season but calling him a rookie sounds better lol

I agree he wouldn't be in the running for MVP but I disagree that he shouldn't if that makes sense?

He is doing more with what he has got

ofc Peyton is having an amazing year but look at the targets he has lol I'm no fool though I know Manning is amazing and should get MVP

I just think brown should have some recognition (mostly because I'm a Steelers fan) lol

Yes it does sound better. You wouldn't be able to get away with talk like that in my football forum though - they all know their stuff. A Steeler fan, eh? Gee, I never would've guessed. :p lol So yes, it makes sense to me that you think Antonio 'should' be. hehehehe TBH, at his position, I'd agree you could make an argument for him too. They've had a bad year, but with no real run game for most of the year, he carried them, and 101 catches, 1400+ receiving yds, not too shabby. Look at what Calvin did last year, only to get beaten out by AP.

Peyton can have the MVP, because the Superbowl MVP trophy will be given to Tom Brady when they upset the seahawks against all odds.
You heard it here first folks
