I need your help on finding out the resources that sports bettors use to get information and tips for sports betting, make predictions. enter contests. Also where do you to discuss sports in general?

I know there are many resources available - sports betting sites, Discord, Reddit, facebook groups, discussion forums, etc. Please be specific about the name of the sites, the specific groups etc.

I am only interested in hearing from those who actually place bets or are at least very involved in following sports betting and participating in contests.

I will conduct a random drawing of all participants for your choice of $10 or 100 VIP chips on Monday, May 20th.

Hello, Debi.
Honestly, at the beginning of everything, I believe that it was speculation.
After a certain period, the players themselves saw a chance of winning, so it became a mob, unfortunately.
I don't follow betting and sports betting sites or Apps because of that.

But I believe that it changed course with the greed of the human being. Anyway, answering the topic, I believe that the information was just speculations and the perception of each game.

I follow and bet on quite a few sports and competitions for 10+ years(soccer/ tennis/ basketball), but I have to say that over the years I've learned to bet only on events I can find info relatively easily and/ or I can follow the players/ team involved live video at least from time to time... another thing I've learned the 'hard' way- it's very important to bet mostly Single bets!

Resources I use:

1) https://www.oddsportal.com/ - a great place to check the betting offers and compare odds from different bookmakers
2) https://www.rotowire.com/basketball/nba-lineups.php - I use this site for different news from American sports but mostly for NBA(lineups etc.)
3) https://www.transfermarkt.com/ - soccer news, market values, pretty good place to find the list of injured players(at least for important competitions)
4) https://www.tennisexplorer.com/ - tennis news, Tours calendar, players(including results/ form, H2H matches, number of matches played on different surfaces which IMO are the 3 most important stats you need to consider before placing a bet on a tennis event* of course there are other important things too- like for example knowing the style of play of the players involved after watching them play live video...)
5) https://www.whoscored.com/ - great previews from important soccer competitions, also useful news and some interesting top facts that sometimes are very useful...

There are some other sites I use but I guess this are the Top5... also, I'm a recreational gambler and I usually prefer to play my own bets and I don't usually follow tips/ suggestions from others(we have a really good thread on our community https://www.cardschat.com/forum/sports-60/betting-tips-predictions-364253/page-540#post-6950057 - daily tips from IMO some really good/ experienced gamblers), but when I do- I still analyze the events too as at the end of the day we are responsible for our money/ actions and we shouldn't blame and/or find excuses when we end up losing...

Also, about discussing sports in general, I'm not doing it much online- mostly with friends IRL as it's usually a good way to pass time and this way we usually always have something to discuss about :)

I live in North Carolina and sports betting has just got started here.
I have a older book from David Sklansky "Getting The Best Of It".
I have been reviewing it and have not paid a lot of attention to the websites yet.
I have not joined a site yet and maybe this will give me more info on which one(s) to use.

If I could give anyone advice on betting it would be to bet with your brain and not your heart.

I usually use flashscore.com and sofascore.com to analyze which bet is right for me.
There are also interesting tips in the Cardschat Betting Thread that I also use.
Also, I collect the information from the domestic sports newspaper (I like the real newspaper instead of staring at the monitor all the time 😌), and sometimes I even look at the pages dealing with sports betting in my country, but I like to figure out for myself what the correct final result of the given match/s will be. ;)

I literally ask my friends on a WhatsApp group what they think about my bet.
Normally I dont go to any source to find some information.
Sometimes when is a soccer bet, we google the teams formation to see who would play

OBG One Breath Gaming Great Britain !On this site you can make money on your predictions. If my memory serves me right, my friend Risto took some place there and made a few pounds on the forecasts . I was also carried away .
And one day all the analysts gave 95% for Barcelona to win .The odds were 1.19, I bet 100 euros to win Barcelona .Barcelona won but in extra time and I lost.As they say in life, a thankless task is forecasts.

This site . players provide predictive statistics without any financial investment. and then a reward a month or more later... I don’t remember.

For sports betting in the forums that I am in to be able to predict the results I am in this group in my country
on telegram. This group "Mega Dice" is where they give me advice on what I should take into account before making a sports bet in order to obtain a greater profit on the bet or cover at least 45% of losses.

Sorry @Debi, but I owe you such information, as I have never done sports betting, due to lack of knowledge on the subject or interest.
The only thing I know related to sport is that Neymar Cai Cai Jr is a stilt.😁🤣🤣

Or glass cinnamon.🤔😁🤣🤣

Hi @Debi

I would advise you to watch some videos on YouTube from this guy.

Link to channel

He is a pro trader that will show you many sites that can provide help with betting.

Also introduce you to things such as matched betting plus EV and arbitrage betting.

Which can be used to make money risk free or with very small loses vs a big upside.

I use to use OddsJam. They are mostly a service that gives you real time API of hundreds of different Sportsbooks which allows you to find +EV bets. From what I can tell from my personal experience using it, it works. Though with gambling who knows how big of a role variance played. That said, I've been limit banned on BetRivers, Pointsbet and partially on DraftKings so that also goes into the "it probably does work column."

The reason I quit was my bankroll was small and felt I would get more benefit waiting till I could place larger wagers instead of potentially raising red flags on smaller wagers.

They are behind a pricey paywall though. I do remember they had a very nice affiliate deal so if you guys end up partnering with em' or something don't forget the guy who sent ya there! I'll be happy to be your sub-affiliate! lol.

I go to groups on social networks like Telegram or X, there are good groups where there is a lot of talk about sports betting.
There are also pages where they talk a lot about tennis, which is the sport where I bet the most, this page is LastWordOnTennis

For college basketball I really like to go to the individual teams basketball forum- like /www.guboards.com, where you can find tidbits that are not commonly known.

I also like to look at various experts free picks on youtube.

With the continued rise of AI www.reddit.com/r/algobetting has some really interesting info.

Debi, if you don't mind, I'll post all the links I use to make predictions in this thread right here:

https://en.24score.com/ is the best site with statistics. It has absolutely everything to successful bettor needs for successful predictions.

Since I only bet on US sports (NBA, MLB, NHL, NFL), I also use this site: https://www.espn.com

And this site for betting on individual player performance is also very helpful: https://www.statmuse.com

I only bet on UFC (mma fighting) & WorldCup Ski Racing.
For the MMA I check out these sites:
CBS Sports
MMAmania
Sherdog
bloodyelbow
MMAjunkie

For World Cup Ski Racing
I was a ski racer and have friends who raced on the National Team. (sister's boyfriend competed in World Cup)
I check out the FIS webpage & some of the racer's social media pages

I'm not a big sports gambler (basically a micro donk) 'but' I am winning longterm at it with an Roi +16% winrate for UFC betting.

Hi Debi! I use the Bet 365 site for sports betting, because all bets for all sports can be found on the site! They also provide live broadcasts if you don't have certain TV channels! Deposits and withdrawals are also very fast, so I can only say good things about the site! ;)

When pokerstars was handing out oodles of freebie sportsbets I did a comparison between random selections and selecting based on the recommendation of the Spooky Express email I received every day. I did better selecting randomly. I can't remember the sample size but I did think it was large enough to come to the conclusion that it was better for me to just make a random pick and move on with my day.

* Whenever looking for whatever sports team/player recent form and/or matches aswell as upcoming schedule then it's usually flashscore to look for. However when it comes to tennis then for that i use matchstat.

* As for contests then i should imagine almost all sports (betting) sites, forums etc have them although some probably not so much as others ...
For example previously used bettingexpert but they had (or still have?) this rule that you reasonings had to be atleast 100 characters long while for example in UK site OLBG and in our local bettimine.ee when you write previews to whatever sporting event then there these minimums are only at 50 characters or so.
Sportsbookreview probably has some contests aswell but there i'm more interested to look for what others bet or so ...
And these ^ are probably just some examples ...

* for discussing sports (or more precisely football) and/or just reading them then i usually have a look on several forums etc which are either entirely focused on sports and/or have little section for it ...
For example our soccernet.ee
Finnish futisforum2
Greece's phantisforum
Bigsoccer forum
Redcafe
TheAnfieldNoise
Kerrydalestreet
Apostlewelshfootie
Goonersworld
Betnhl.ca
2+2 forum sports events & sports betting section
some random estonian streamers discord servers which also have sports section

Pretty sure i forgot some ...

E: Even when looking all of these regularly enough then there is still above average chance to miss certain (very) good value bets cause good odds usually dont last long and with so much to bet on nowadays it's almost guaranteed to miss certain things every once in a while (especially if some LIVE-bets are presented) ...

For regular sports I don't use any forums, I only bet on the games that I am interested in and watch myself. I have sometimes tried googling some predictions but found the predictions fairly mediocre so never been to same site even twice probably.

For eSports game predictions I look around on Youtube for predictions from ex-pros or other experts of the game such as "Summoning Insight" podcast is great. Usually sportsbetting sites offer odds in line with what the experts are saying so it's hard to make profit at least for me but it's still fun!

I participate in certain contests directly on sportsbetting sites I already play on and I am very interested in contests and bonuses regarding sportsbetting on 3rd party sites or other sportsbetting sites too but always almost any contest or bonus found on 3rd party sites has a catch of some kind such as collecting your data to be sold or on many sportsbetting sites they often have some ascociation with impossible withdrawal requirements such as "you have to wager your money 35 times" or sometimes even worse "when you have both bonus money and real money in your account order of balance usage is 1| Real money 2| Bonus money". My color psychology doesn't even register most of bonuses or contests anymore but I rather straight up visually ignore them , but I love the trusted sites that have had history of offering bonuses with wager free money or contests with free tickets to watch games. I am all for expansion in this area (y)
