I don't think here will be a lot of comments,
waterpolo is not rather popular.
Anyway i congratulate you, it's always great when
a small country becomes a big champion.
Yeah, I know soccer, american football, rugby, NBA etc. are much more popular but I had to post it, I'm so proud of them. It was a very big achievement. After our "old team" won everything (eg. 3 olympics in the row, 2000, 2004, 2008) and they left - almoust the whole team - cos they retired the new team had to replace them and they were successful. Only a few believed them and they did it.
Anyway USA also has a good waterpolo team.
I like many "ball-sports". Of course soccer is first, but I also watch waterpolo, handball, valleyball (women-valleyball games are alway exciting), tenis.
I guess women volleyball as women track and field athletics
are very interesting not only for true sport fans...
Hungarian football was very strong in mid of 20th century,
Puskás for example is well known as a great player i my country.
I enjoyed watching water polo in the last olympics but have no exposure other than that. The players are a tough bunch. After learning about all the underhanded and dirty tricks that go on under the surface I gained a ton of respect for the game.
Congrats Hungary!
