For those who watch MMA, what did you guys think of this match? Really rigged. Hendricks owned the living crap out of GSP. I'm a GSP fan but this is just b.s. Towards end of the match, Hendricks's face is normal while GSP's face is smashed up.

I have heard all about it but have yet to see it. Going to search for it. I heard it all comes down to the judging on the 1st round and all other judges scored all other 4 rounds the same. From what I can tell its a matter of hwo judges score...as gsp landed a lot of weaker shots but Hendricks just rocked the guy hard as .... a few times? Would love to see for myself. Going to go search now actually...if anyone has a link please share

For me, I give rounds 1,2, 4 to Hendricks and 3 and 5 to GSP. But Regardless, overall, GSP was getting owned. I'm a GSP fan and even I say GSP got owned. Towards end of the fight, GSP's face is all smashed up while Hendrick's face is completely normal. Judges' reasoning for GSP's victory was that GSP landed more strikes. But lot of those strikes were inefficient while Hendrick's strikes were significant and have done massive damage to GSP's face.

I watched and honestly after the fight I thought GSP's reign was finally over.

I almost kind of knew they would give to GSP anyway though just like Jon Jones vs Gustaffson lol.

Now that I have been reading about it though it seems there is debate on whether or not it was as one sided as people think.

GSP and Hendricks both landed takedowns in round 1 and the striking was pretty even. He could have gotten the nod in this round for his sub attempt early on.

round 2 was all hendricks.

I need to rewatch closely as I know hendricks took round 4 but for some reason rounds 3 and 5 are drawing a blank for me lol.

I also remember seeing that tap looking motion when GSP had that guillotine in and thinking wtf did he just tap as gsp was letting go of the choke ? Fight continued though and I didn't bother to look back.

Now seeing it in gifs and stuff on facebook it does still almost look like it but it is hard to really say anything definitively.

I watch the game with my boyfriend, and from what we saw, Hendricks won that match. But as Dana is saying all the time, if you're the challenger, don't leave the match to be decided by the judges. Especially if your opponent is Dana & Fertita's Golden Boy at the helm. Either you knock him out, or win every single round. :)

If I had bet on GSP they would've given it to Hendricks.

I only saw the short blurb on the news about it after the fight, including Dana White speaking pretty harshly at the press conference. Seemed pretty weird for GSP to say he was hanging up his gloves for awhile due to a personal matter but without going into it further. wtf is that?

I wanted to watch this fight but am now kinda glad I missed it after hearing about the judging controversy.

For boxing, I don't think winning every single round would help also. Remember Pacquiao vs Bradley? Pacquiao won every single round but yet, Bradley is determined a winner.

But majority of the time, you're right. Decisions will always favor the champ. Only way to beat them is dominate them every single round like the way Cain Velasquez crushed Junior Dos Santos on their rematch, fight no.2, or knock out the champ like the way marquez knocked out pacquiao or pettis knocked out henderson, or notably, weidman knocked out anderson silva.

Like Poker Orifice mentioned here, it's all about money. If money was placed on the underdog, they'll declare the champ as a winner so that they win all the bets from people who placed their money on the underdog. It's business and politics.

Round one was really only the iffy round to me. 2 and 4 for sure for Hendricks and 3 and 5 for GSP but if you watch round one both had takedowns and usually if it close and sort of feel out round its going to go to the champ - its like that all the time - the round has to be clearly won and it wasn't by either - if Hendricks didn't get the late take down GSP had round one in the bag. As for appearance after the fight it is regardless of who is more bloodied up GSP has become more vulnerable to getting cut over the years and it will continue to get worse every fight unless he doesn't get hit anymore :). As always just my opinion :) - try watching it again from the shoulders down and don't really pay attention to who is really fighting and you might see the same opinion as me.

I can totally see where you're coming from. Round 1 could've gone either way but Hendricks' strikes were much more damaging than GSP's were. That's what makes me believe that Hendricks won the fight.

Oh well though, nothing anyone can do about it now HaHa. & I don't think GSP should retire anytime soon. If he can do what he did against Hendricks & withstand all the shots etc. that he took, there's no reason he should jus up & retire now. He def has many more fights in him.

Not sure if srs. It was very close fight. When it went to the desicion I couldn decide who won the fight as you could make an argument for both. However this isn't a competition of face smashing but fighting and gsp's face clearly swells up very fast. He won fights against diaz and condit very decisively and look at his face afterwards. Also I'm glad that that annoying fatty lost! His pre fight and also post fight comments annoyed ths crap out of me! He has a very good chin tho
