Last night the Syracuse Orangemen buried St. John’s on its home court. The name “St. John’s” was visible on center court, but Madison Square Garden is a second home to SU and its fans who braved the NYC snowstorm. After a slow start, SU picked up the pace in the second half to amass an insurmountable 20-point lead over the Johnnies.
Kris Joseph led the Orange with 18, while Brandon Triche chipped in 15 points. Scoop Jardine had 14 and Rick Jackson put up his 10th double-double of the season with 12 points and 10 rebounds.
With Duke’s loss last night, will Syracuse climb up a knotch in the NCAA polls next week?
