This will be another classic!

No matter the teams that win their conferences, it will either be a 14/16 year veteran (AFC) vs. a 2/3 year amateur (NFC).

Who has their money on who?

My money is on the Broncos taking it all. [crossing fingers] I said back in Sept. it would be them and Seahawks. Whoever winds up getting there will be deserving. In order of preference....

1) Broncos - They are my team. I can think of several reasons for disliking at least something about many other teams. but there are no dislikes here. No history for being dirty, cheating, hiring thugs and criminals, and have no arrogant and/or obnoxious people in that org. Peyton's had an record-setting year, I'd love to see him get a 2nd ring. And they have the 2 hottest WRs in the league, nuff said.

2) NE - They moved up from #3 with the advent of the Seahawks restricting their ticket sales (see your other thread for my take on that). Always been a bit indifferent to the Pats for some reason. But I still feel the Pats got ripped off of 2 SBs, when they were clearly the better team. I think Brady & BB & the rest have done an astonishing job considering their personnel losses and injuries - Welker, Gronk, Hernandez, Amendola, Vereen, rookie Kenbrell Thompson, Wilfork, Mayo, Talib - Jesus, am I leaving anyone out?!?! I think they deserve it.

3) Seahawks - They've never won, and believe it or not Richard Sherman is my favorite player, maybe after Peyton. I like Lynch a ton as a player, and respect his not wanting to deal with the media. But I can't get fully past this 12th man BS and restricting ticket sales to a few states. Is it really not loud enough?

4) SF - Don't care one way or another about the team. But one dislike in the name of Jim Harbaugh (I do like John though).

I'm just excited the 4 most deserving teams made it to the conference championships for once. Can't wait til Sunday!

Actually this practice is not uncommon. The Broncos did it last year in the divisional round and are doing it again this year for the AFC Championship game.

I think the Seahawks will play the Pat, with the Seahawks winning the Super Bowl.

Funny you should mention it. I reposted the stuff above from my football forum, and was informed of this. Most others were not aware of it either. I echoed that if Broncos or ANY team did it, it's s much a douche move as the Seahawks. Personally I think NFL should do something maybe not to eliminate it, but assure a % goes to out of state fairly.

I thought the Seahawks did it first, with the purpose of boosting the decibel level to ear-piercing, which is IMHO physical abuse to local fans as well.

Personally I'd like to see a Denver - San Fran Superbowl. Really dunno if that'll happen though.

Either way it's an excuse to drink bourbon and eat chicken wings at 10:00am on a Monday. Which reminds me, gotta put my leave form in :)

Would it not be the local fans abusing themselves ,since the idea is to make noise to help the local team win...lol:icon_blac Would like to see a Seahawks Broncos final ,would be happy to see either team win .My Panthers couldn't beat them dam 49ers..oh well maybe next year......scorp

Couldn't agree more. While I do understand the purpose behind it I just can't see how it can be allowed. I mean these tickets cost so much if someone is willing to fork up the dough and make the trip from where ever they should be able to.

End of 1st quarter in the Denver vs. New England game & the Broncos D looks pretty good so far (Patriots D actually looks good as well but based on points given up, Broncos D looks better lol).

3-0 Broncos headed to 2nd quarter.

Start of 4th quarter & the Broncos have a 20-3 lead. They're in the RZ right now & looking to put more points on the board.

Not looking too good for the Patriots.

23-3 now but I don't think so either. After studying the game tape, I'm sure they figd out what they did wrong in that game. But, w/ 12min left, anything can happen.

EDIT: 23-10 after a TD pass by Brady. Right about now the entire Bronco nation is saying "oh shit, it can't happen again...can it?".

I was jus coming here to say that lol.

In the NFC game (Seattle vs. San Francisco), 49ers jus took a 3-0 lead due to ALDON SMITH BEING A BEAST!!!

Headed to halftime & it's 10-3 in favor of the 49ers.

49ers D has 4 sacks (cause ALDON SMITH IS A BEAST!!!) as compared to 0 for the Seahawks.

Good goalline stops for the Seahawks early in the game. Their D is doing pretty well but their O doesn't look very sharp. 49ers D is doing well keeping the pressure on the QB though.

17-13 in favor of the 9ers headed to the 4th quarter. Uber close game...it's a nail biter!

EDIT: holy shit! The Seahawks went for it on a 4th down & got a TD...wowsers!

20-17 Seahawks

After an epic goal line stop by the 9ers, forcing a big fat 0 in points & a horrific leg injury to one of their players, they turned the ball right back over due to an interception.

Seahawks kicked a FG to make it a 6pt lead.

23-17 Seahawks w/ 3:30 to go

Well, at least both me and Colin can root for the Broncos. He's not going to be very happy that the 49'ers lost though.
