After an abhorrent run in MLB, I am very excited to see that football has kicked off. I have had some decent success with second half wagers in the NFL and college, and I hope it continues this year, but right now, my confidence is waning due to MLB.

Is the pre season over already?I made pretty good money at bodog n sportsbook,and intertops last season.I got to cash at all 3 sites.I just bet on games I liked..no studying involved.

Thebigdawg, do you think Dusty will finally get over the hump in the post-season? IMO he is just like former NFL coach, Marty Schottenheimer. Marty did an excellent job during the regular season just like Dusty is doing this year, only to be consistently outcoached in the playoffs. With either the Giants, Cubs, or the Reds he should have at least made it to the World Series like Ron Washington has already done twice with Texas. And if he gets knocked out in the FIRST round again this year, I would NOT renew his contract.

I am not for sure if Dusty will get over the hump or not in the post-season, but as long as the Reds finish out this division race his contract will get renew. It would make 2 out of 3 years the Reds have won the division, and before 2010 it had been between 15-20 years before they won a division race. Right wrong or in-between I would be shocked if Dusty didn't get a offer at the end of the year (assuming we hold on to the division.)

Yeah, it seems a little small to me. The Pats would be bigger than a 7.5 point favorite at a neutral site. I don't like backing road favorites, but the Titans weren't a very good team last year. I don't think its a terrible bet.

But I think home field advantage might be worth more this week, since you have replacement refs doing the games. Home field advantage all comes from the referees (reference here.) So I'd be pretty pumped about betting home teams this week, since I bet Vegas & the public won't price that effect in enough.
