Pete was in the news concerning the current doping scandal. Here is what he had to say:

What do you think, should the all time hit leader be forgiven HIS transgressions and be welcomed back into the baseball community? Or maybe should he at least be inductable into the BBHOF?

All those guys alter the stats because of the use of steroids,Rose didn't do that ,he just bet on his team to win,he gambled, just like any hand in poker you never really know the outcome till the hand is over,I'd say let Mr. hustle in the HOF!!!!!he did it the the way it should be done with hustle and talent !!!!!

Pete Rose should be in the HOF, especially if one of the steroids guys get in. He should get in as a player, not a manager. He played the game clean and has the most hits of all time! #goreds

i consider the use of steroids to be the greater offense and should DQ someone from being in HOF

the evidence out there is that Rose bet on his team and other teams but did not bet against his team or otherwise try to make his team lose so he could win money

his actions are forgivable. but his problem is that he wouldnt just admit it

he has now and he should be put in the HOF eventually imo

You know what happened during black friday and that there is chance the DOJ could shut down another site or a site could close down and not pay you your money but you still continue to play poker. You would most likely complain if you were to lose all of the money you have online even if you did know that online poker in the US is a gray area and that some sites have a sketchy past. Even if you don't have a lot online lets say you satty into a big tournament and bink it for 10k. You would be pretty mad if that site closed down and did not pay you your money so your criticizing Rose even though you would probably do the same thing.

It's sad to say this because I'm such a big baseball fan but these guys that you listed will most likely never make it to the HOF.

There has to be "examples" made out of certain people & these are those people that happened to get caught & made examples out of.

pete rose tainted? you should educate yourself before typing, pete rose is in the same category as the guys who juiced it? pete rose should have been in the HOF years ago, you're just saying useless spam. The guy bet on baseball who gives a flying fak, how does betting on baseball taint his lifetime numbers? oh weird it doesn't at all. You cannot put rose's name in the same category as these guys, What he did in baseball is legendary and everyone who knows and plays baseball knows that. If you asked every major leaguer who deserves to be in the HOF I guarantee you pete rose's name would be the highest on that list. far far ahead of any of these guys.

Whether or not Rose gets in the hof depends on who the commissioner is, so in my opinion its a matter of time (which could be a seriously long time). The whole other issue of steroids, which has nothing to do with Rose since he was never accused of anything quite like that, creates a mess for the hof. You've got guys who took varying levels of different substances and sorting all that out is like a big joke. I personally don't expect any of the guys found guilty of juicing to make any hof in our lifetimes.
