Noticed a few threads about fantasy football in here. Now that free agency is here, what deals do you think will have the biggest impact on fantasy football?

I'm a 9ers fan so I'm pumped about adding Anquan Boldin, but I think Amendola to the Patriots or Reggie Bush to Detroit could be huge.

Harvin could be huge, if he can stay healthy. Seabags are gonna be nasty in 2013. Fitzpatrick is leaving Buffalo for Tennessee. I think I heard a collective sigh of relief from all of western NY.

Reggie Bush always performs, I've picked him up in round 2 or 3 last two years and he puts in work. I'm so pissed that the packers didn't sign a quality running back. Jackson would have been a perfect fit. I feel like if they had a running game rodgers would be extra beastly, but whatever :/

The Jennings move doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me, unless it was purely about being the go to guy.

Tannehill looked decent last year, didn't he? We don't get much fins coverage in WV, so I only saw highlights. Mike Wallace should help his numbers improve, as long as they can get a running game to prevent opposing D's from stacking the box.

One thing I'm loving so far this off season is the demise of the Patriots office. They seem to be a player in almost every free agent, but nobody signing with them because they offer bottom of the barrel money. It seems they can no longer move forward with the lowball offer and 'the honor' of playing for the Patriots. I'd be beyond pissed if I were Brady.

Wes Welker will hunt the Patriots in the future I am pretty sure and Brady is mad lo. Not liking what the Giants is doing at the moment -_o But we will see what they do on the draft.

I'm a huge Lions fan, so I was excited to see Reggie get signed. that could do wonders to their offensive balance. Signing Quin was a sneaky pickup, and if Delmas can get healthy, their secondary is in much better shape than last year. Hoping one of the 3 CB's they drafted last year can step up and become a starter. Greenwood has all the natural talent, but hes a small school kid that never played elite WR's.

Percy Harvin in that system is going to go apewire

Greg Jennings will flop

SLEEPER - Alex Smith top ten QB under Reid - Dwayne Bowe stock rises significantly

Mike Wallace = 2x coverage

Reggie Bush = average numbers - but a no. 2 back in FF

Steven Jackson = Beast Mode if 100% -

Anquan Boldin will disappoint overall but will show up for a handful of games

If Bush can stay healthy for the year, I think he will do better than avg. He wont have any top 5 RB year, but in a ppr I wouldn't be surprised that he excels rather nicely.

Boldin is no longer in the thought of a #1 WR in terms of fantasy football nor the NFL. They got him for a steal... He, however, is Mr dependable and will be that sure hands on 3rd down or within the red zone up the middle. His purpose in SF is far more than posting 1200+ yards and 10+ TD's.

I think Reggie Bush will get it done, I drafted him last year and he was pretty good until later in the season when he didn't get touches. If he gets touches, he should get plenty of points every week. He's still a 3 down back and Detroit should have a good offense, which will give Bush plenty of opportunities to get TDs.

You didn't comment on Harvin -

The issue is not Bush or his health - the issue is the division. Got to score TD's to be a #1 FF RB. His division opponents last year gave up 40 rushing TD's - even with Tampa having the #1 overall defense in the league. His division opponents that he will face THIS year gave up 28 rushing TD's last season. Add to that he will probably not be a goal line option. They will probably let Leshoure do that since last year he scored 5 TD on 5 attempts from 1st and goal inside the 2. BTW, he scored 4 other TD's - all inside the 10 yard line (off 9 more attempts).
No doubt they upgraded their backfield but not to the point of Bush being a FF #1 RB.

Tampa isn't in the Dolphins division.

But to your point, these numbers aren't solely reflective of the defenses in that league. Other than the Vikings, no other team in that division had anyone that could score consistently (rushing that is). The Lions had little to no run game. The Packers may have been even worse from a run game perspective, they always throw in the red zone. The Bears have Forte who never scores TD's.

Its not just what the D allows, its about what type of offense they are up against as well.

Ah, I left out Harvin... There's no doubt in his productivity when he's able to play. Much like any injury plagued player, not knowing if they're going to play week in and week out is never fun. Percy is from my home town and I loved watching him play ball live. If he can stay healthy, he will be able to keep Lynch fresh and take some of the load there for sure.

It's kinda funny, Harvin is considered injury prone, and granted he always seems to be on the injury report. But other than his season ending injury this year, he had only missed 3 games in his career.

Yeah okay, I'll give you that, BUT there is nothing to indicate Bush will perform much better than last year - around 1000 yards and 8 TDs - which put him at 14th for FF RBs - a #2 back in any league.

Absolutely, I don't see him as a #1 RB unless its a PPR. In PPR, he's got Darren Sproles potential with more rushing yards.

It will be interesting to see how they are going to use him. I would imagine he will hit personal best for receptions. Maybe by Dec 1 :)
