I decided to write a little about San - Antonio and nearby NBA playoffs 2015

San Antonio Spurs - one of the most successful teams of the 21st century. With the arrival of Tim Duncan, in the camp of "spurs" began to create a new team. The result is known to all of us - Spurs boss was assembled a unique mechanism, which might sometimes hit and excite the minds of basketball public. Of course, like any machine, mechanism faltered, and several times San Antonio lost even one round of the playoffs. These years in the headquarters Spurs hardly perceived as a failure, because any adequate person it was clear that "spurs" - one of the best bands of our time, with great prospects. And all thanks to a strong foundation team in the face of "big trio" - Tim Duncan, Tony Parker and Manu Ginobili. But, unfortunately, even the most solid foundation eventually becomes stronger. One may joke on "immortality" of these guys, but the fact remains - they age. Duncan and Ginobili spend his final season for the home team, but Tony has already seen its peak, and is unlikely to still be playing at mvp. This summer, the team will be completely different, but so far ahead of their last playoffs "golden" era of Tim Duncan.

Why do they remain one of the main contenders for the title?

***Greg Popovich - coach using its distribution system of possession between players. Simply put, unlike any other strong team in San Antonio leaders not to drive, and veterans from time to time receive legal holidays. According to statistics, only 3 players (namely Duncan, Parker and Leonard) is carried out on the site for about 30 minutes, between the rest of the time correctly distributed. This tactic allows you to save power leading Spurs to the playoffs, and at the same time gives you a chance to prove themselves less experienced players. Therefore, as I'm sure many have noticed in games for departure "spurs" show a completely different basketball.
***

***Another fact in favor of the team - a great experience to play on the flight. Just think: the last time the team failed in the playoffs in the season 96/97, ie before joining the team of Tim Duncan. Unlike most teams in the league, "young" Spurs already hardened battles for the championship, and is unlikely to do any of players on the team level to slow the game after the regular season, which is typical for many NBA teams.

After receiving the prize Kawai Leonard finals most valuable player was a lot of talk about the incredible potential and progress, had a lot of comparisons with LeBron and speculation over the incredible diligence Kavaja. Without a doubt, Leonard - the future of Spurs, the player around which to build a new team. But there is one "but." I muse on the current season, and this season is hard to call this guy the game progress. I remember a few games where he showed such a game, which can be called a game the team leader. The rest of the matches Kawai spent as the average LF league. Of course, he is still very young, it is very possible that the time will come when he will repeat his triumph, again got the best player.

Spurs remain a formidable force in the current playoffs, which should be afraid of any team. But to the chagrin of fans of this great team, last year's cup Tim Duncan and will be his last. Perhaps the goal of the team for this season is not a cup. The players, as feared Popovich, do not have the desire for revenge and the championship, which permeates and forced players to win the championship in the past. Therefore, my prediction for the playoffs - worth losing a hard-fought battle in the 1-2 round.

What do you think, what chances at Spurs in the playoffs? And what are the contenders for the championship ring from you?

While no one wants to write anything. Well then, this topic will be my little blog. Now I want to express my thoughts about the team that train settled on one place Western Conference - Golden State Warriors. :)

This season the team has achieved impressive performance, to what did not get very many years already. The beginning of its formation the team as a whole and the quality team with the arrival of the team of Mark Jackson as head coach. In a short time a new coach has managed to turn "warriors" from the "hopeless" to the team with good perspective. They impose the struggle of San Antonio in the playoffs in 2013, won 2 times the team - finalists. A year later in games to crash against the "sailing" in the hard struggle they lost Paul and company. Immediately after this defeat, rumors that Mark Jackson threatened with dismissal. In the dismissal of such a specialist is not very hard to believe, but very soon the bosses Warriors got rid of him, taking his place to Steve Kerr. The new coach has changed the starting five, remade system attacks, and*vu la - before us team a strong lead in the Western Conference complicated.

Despite the epidemic of injuries during the season, the Golden State has shown that he can win incomplete composition very strong teams. Surely the headquarters "warriors" all have become accustomed to a terrible propensity for injury Andrew Bogut, who in the past few years, spends more time in the hospital than with the team. Bogut is without a doubt one of the best defenders in the NBA, but Steve Kerr Warriors managed to turn into one of the best defensive teams in the league, and the absence of Andrew in service longer weakens the defense command, as it was before. Now, a key element of defense team was not he but the player worthy of the title of the progressiruyuschigo player of the season - Draymond Green. Draymond has the best protection rating at the moment and can turn off the game any player from the opponent's point guard before centering. In the attack Greene still not as stable, but that does not prevent him from being 3 option attack, after Steve and Clay.

Talking about them .. Steve Curry also spends his best season and always flashes in NBA ratings in the first places of candidate in the MVP. It's safe to say that he is a good player of the season has become a real superstar, pleasing his fans from match to match. Together with Clay seriously they added in defense and vision platform. But if Curry had become a superstar, it is still too unstable Clay in the attack, alternating disastrous match with enchanting performance.
Management team had a great summer job, and now "soldiers" one of the best "benches" in the league. In the absence of Bogut with the responsibilities centering copes Maurice Speync that formed an excellent bunch Sean Livingston. It is also worth mentioning Andre Iguodalu emerging from the bench for a short time, but always bringing great benefit to the team.

Golden State this year - the team that can shoot absolutely any team. Same Oklahoma or Spurs are unlikely to stop them. The defense of "soldiers" is fully capable to stop Westbrook, and their teamwork and level of attack is better than the Spurs. Provided good health of all players and keep the same level of play, as now, the fans of this team can come true innermost dreams.

I put on these guys:)

Good to see that Duncan is still playing. He became a huge icon of NBA. :)

I want to write a little bit of my thoughts and observations about the outcome of the first round between the collectives "Golden State Warriors" - "New Orleans Pelicans." Account in the series: 4-0 in favor of "Warriors".
New Orleans keep afloat thanks to the good rotation of head coach. After five - Norris Cole, Eric Gordon, Quincy Pondekstar, Ryan Anderson and Anthony Davis (in the first two games with the Five, they spent about 10 minutes), most of the time did not allow players to "Warriors' attack through itself as efficiently and effectively as against other combinations of players. Mainly through the five attacks, and we do not pass all the efforts "Warriors" have been spent or lost, or not implemented a throw from behind the arc.
"Pelikans" could win the series if Anthony Davis realized everything its throws. But, as we shall see everything, Is this possible?
Basically, Davis held several players and sometimes you could see the twinning Boguta and Green for the leader "Pelikans." Thereby, Davies could miss, or as it was in the course of the series, to give the ball to the arc Eric Gordon, who for the most part implemented long throws - 40 percent in the series with Golden State. The attacks in New Orleans were not varied. It is a skid on the arc Anderson, Gordon or Pondekster or pass Anthony Davis (pick-and-roll), the middle roll and the arrival of striker. There was another feature called "Give me the ball, I'll deal" with the motto sometimes attacked Tairiku Evans. (32 percent of the game, 18 from beyond the arc and 52 percent from the foul line). And if this percentage has risen to at least 40, 35 and 70 ?. It is these points sometimes not enough New Orleans.

In the first game with the "Golden State" Anthony Davis scored 35 points and had 7 rebounds. Thus, Davis became only the fourth player in NBA history who managed to finish their debut match in the playoffs with no less than 35 points and 5 rebounds in the asset. Previously, it was possible only to the legendary Wilt Chemberlenu, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and Julius Erving.

By implementing 6 of 8 three-point shots in the fourth and final match of the series of the first round of the NBA playoffs with "Pelikans" guard "the Golden State Warriors' Stephen Curry accurate attacks brought the score from long range in the confrontation with a team of Louisiana from 20. Thereby bidder for the title of most valuable player of the season set a new league record for the number of hits from behind the arc in the series, ending in four matches.
Previous record, we note belonged to Ray Allen hit the ring 17 times "New York Knicks" from the perimeter of the first in a series of play-off round of the season-2010/11
Beating "New Orleans Pelicans' series of the first round of the NBA playoffs with a 4-0, basketball players," Golden State Warriors "is only the second time in the last 40 years, we managed to win a" dry "victory in the" postseason. " The early success of the team in California dates back to 1989 when a team led by Don Nelson coped with the "Utah Jazz" in the first round in the shortest possible three fights.
Hitherto the only time in their history, "Warriors" won the playoff series 4-0 and did back in 1975 when a team from California, led by Rick Barry, celebrated the "dry" victory in the NBA Finals over the "Washington Bullets".

Steve Kerr expressed the opinion that in the fourth match of his team demonstrated the best basketball since the beginning of the "post-season" and paid tribute to Anthony Davis, will bring a lot of problems to the winner of the regular season.

"The fate of the three previous meetings, hung in the balance, but this time, I think we have demonstrated his best basketball since the beginning of the series. I am very satisfied with the efforts that the guys have made to win, and very glad that I will not see Davis at least until November. "

"Warriors" played a 20-point gap after three quarters 3 playoff game of the first round.

In the third match of the series against the "Pelikans" Californians conceded with the score 69:89 in front of the fourth 12-minute. The final quarter, "Warriors" won with a score of 39:19, and then achieved victory in overtime (123: 119 FROM, 3-0). Just imagine, if he won the match New Orleans? We would see the score in the series 4-1. This means that the pleasure would be much more. But it was all over. "Pelican" went on vacation, and the history of the "Golden State" is still ongoing.:)

Golden State is up 1-0 on Houston and Cleveland is playing at Atlanta in like half an hour. I can't believe the lack of action on this thread. Not sure about anyone else but I've been watching the heck out of these playoffs. The Clippers/Spurs series got these playoffs rolling and there has been plenty of quality BBall since.
