As some of you know I like to throw a little cheddar at futures bets before the seasons start.[FONT=source_sans_pro, Helvetica Neue, Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif]

It's way waaaaay too early, but I'm going to throw a hondo at Houston and probably a smaller bet on two of the long shots.

I'm not familiar with typical lines for teams to win the WS before the start of Spring Training, but these seem like brutal payouts. The guys making book must get rich off of this. The Dodgers at essentially 5:1 to win the WS? -in February? Whoa, there's fourteen other teams in the League, not to mention the fifteen in the other league that will have something to say about that. And if that's the case, and the Dodgers, Astros, Yankees, etc have the WS all wrapped up, why is Miami only a 200:1 dog? Maybe there's some value in the middle if you look hard enough, but I think I'll just buy a lottery ticket.
