My son and a couple of his friends taking some time at the indoor Motocross track in Connecticut. One of the kids he's riding with is the son of a pro racer. My 13 year old is Robert #789 and made the video also.

Nice...I hope the he's alright. That is the one thing I fear about this sport...the ambulance ride. A couple of serious faceplants, huh? The Ice racing is something I haven't experienced yet. Have been to the hill climbs, but that was years ago.

My son does have some speed, yes, but hasn't been riding as long as the others. The triple he hit was the first time for him. Just finally got up the nerve. The race season starts in March for us and goes until October. Can't wait!!

Over here the MX/enduro race season only runs May-Oct but the Icecross and Enduro cross is fortunetly there to pass the time during the off season!

I allways wise i had gotten a earlyer start to riding, only started at 13 which is simply to late if u want to do some racing imo.
If done a few races but was never any good so i just ride for fun.
My brother though is actualy pretty decent(got 3rd in the last Icecross round and needs a 1-3 finish in the last round to get into the top 3 for the series).

I honestly think MX/enduro is the hardest sport there is.
People not around the sport wouldnt beleive the amount of physical strenght and stamina along with pure guts and will power is needed to succed even at the lowest levels.

Good luck to your kid in the coming season.
Def. keep us posted, we need more MX junkies on CC!!!!

Jimmy

This kid, #613 Jim Decotis, used to ride with us in the New England Sports Committee as early as last year. he went pro over the summer and this was his first race in the AMA. Both he and Justin Barcia call the track in my backyard "HOME". These two are very fast on bikes and will make a huge splash on the circuit. Watch the move #613 puts on Stroupe and Barcia for the lead...pretty amazing!! Enjoy!
