I'm new in sports betting and had wanted to bet on NBA games for a long time. The problem is, I don't understand how it works. How can I bet straight up? Any betting site where people from your country (incl you) can bet should be fine for betting on NBA ...
Spread in NBA is like asian handicap in football i think? Which means if selected teams spred/handicap is -2 then they need to win by 2 goals/points and if it's +2.5 then they cant lose by more than 2 goals/points ...

I bet during the game on total. Intuitively. Win somewhere around 70% of the bets.

Straight up would be a Money Line bet - which means basically To Win

You will see -150 or +250

- = Favorite To Win
+ = Underdog

So if I liked a Money Line team say Los Angeles Lakers -150
I would have to bet bet $150 to win $100

If I liked a Money Line team say Brooklyn +275
I would have to bet $100 to win $275
