Had a over / under teaser bet on the Packers / Vikings game last night at 42 points. How do they know when to stop scoring? LOL I actually do know how the odds makers know how to determine "odds", but it's amazing how often they are correct. I guess they'd not be ale to offer betting to people if they(oddmakers0 were "losing" over 50% of the time. It's a sporting event, so variances occur which make it almost impossible to EVER have a "lock" pick on any given sunday in the NFL...the NBA is just about as unpredictable :)

Take a large sample size, then you get averages, then you account for the particular game, odds also keep changing when people place bets to balance them so the bookie doesn't assume risk. So the bookie usually makes money whatever the result. I think that was your question was about.
