Yepp this is no fun at all. It does not look as the NHL season starts as planned. They question now is if it will start some weeks late or not at all :(

Not sure whose side I am on. But one thing is sure, even if the players take a big pay cut, the price for tickets and TV charges will not go down

Easy to be on the player's side here. The owners got just what they wanted last time, ended up crushing the union and leaving it in tatters, and they're so stupid they didn't even get it right so we have to go through this again.

Thankfully I made the decision that I was finished with the NHL after last season. The league is just so poorly run it doesn't deserve me, and I am busy with other stuff and don't need to try and make room for them.

Good riddance.

It appears lots of players have signed contracts to play in Europe, with luck the whole season is gone.

At least the speculations I have heard about are just short term contracts, that would end if the NHL season got started.

A good way to keep in shape, or pay the rent if you are a penniless rookie I guess. But I think most will wait, at least until/if the season is completely cancelled.
