I struggle with putting Royce Gracie on a list like that. He's undeniably a pioneer and a legend in the sport, but one of the best actual fighters? He's not even really an MMA fighter, most of his legacy dates back to the time when they were all specialists representing their particular code. Outside of that era he's got more draws resulting from whacky rules stipulations than he does legit wins over actual competition (LOL Akebono and Shamrock nutshots).

Georges St Pierre and Matt Hughes are probably the two names I'd say are missing. Maybe BJ Penn too (I can't stand him but there's a case to be made).

There's some current fighters who I strongly suspect will end up on that list in the future too: Jon Jones, Dominick Cruz and Mighty Mouse among them.
