We're just about to witness the thrilling spectacle of the Grand National in the UK. It's a strength-sapping steeplechase over four miles at Aintree in Liverpool.

Anyone else here interested in horse racing? Is there a similar event in the States? I don't think jump racing, as we call it, is so popular over there.

And has anyone got any tips for the big race on Saturday?

Well done. A real shame about the two horses who died though. No sporting event is worth the life of a horse. This happens too often. The race needs to be changed with lower fences introduced. It wouldn't make it any less exciting, but it would become a lot less dangerous.
