As we continue into the pre season for the Toronto Maple Leafs, heres the latest round up so far..

I can safely say a lot rides on our 4th best rated world player Mitch Marner this season... but i will be following with some interest this season with my love for NHL and American Football ever important...i say gooooooooooooooooooooooo leafs and gooooooooooooooooooooo Fins!

A solid pre season win for the leafs earlier today versus the red wings- next game on 14th versus the capitals.

Let's Go Leafs , today is the start of the new season. We'll hopefully this season is great, playing the Canadiens normally is a close game. We will see what lineups they are going to be, they should be great lines. See what new players have been set in the lineups, they should be great. I can't really wait for the game to start, and see if the Leafs are going to rock this season. We'll also see what changes they have made , and hopefully the changes work for this season. They have had such misfortune in the last 55 years that I thought maybe this year they could try something different like correct their spelling mistake.
It might change their luck and the Toronto Maple Leaves might win it all!

We have been so inconsistent for a few years now and thats the root of our problems - on our game, we can match anyone but then we lose to anyone equally. Im hoping some investment and new players start to filter in as we progress forward.

It been a tough beginning for the Leafs, but I think they'll turn it around. I really don't like the start they are having, but gotta be positive and look forward. Matthew's probably start scoring soon, just not ready yet. Once he gets going the Leafs will be in good standings, one again like he has done all the other seasons. It would be nice if one of our goalies became hot , and Matthew's picking up his game where he left it off last year. All the fans just have to keep looking forward , ane get over the start the team has had. Go Leafs Go

LEafs officialy suck how they lose 2 the worst team in the league so far maybe they shoulda spent austin matthews 18 million on some defenceman and a goalie one player aint going to win you a cup

Well not much you can say, Arizona handed us our asses today but yet again Leafs also contributed to their own downfall with some poor stick control and failure to take chances.
Notable issue regarding the hand pass which ended any hopes of a comeback too.

Hi All - glenn here with a Toronto Maple leafs round up - many thanks to Martin for restoring this thread back up as this was one of many that went on holiday for a wee while!

Ok - so where were we? Oh yes - last game i was reporting on was the due fixture against Dallas Stars which resulted in a rather cool win for the leafs - 3 to 2.
Leafs then followed this up with another win Sunday 23rd October versus the Winnipeg jets winning 4 to 1.

A step too far for our amazing leafs on Tuesday 25th October going down 1-3 to the Golden Knights but we followed this defeat up with a good performance versus San Jose Sharks going down 3-4 in a thrilling match.

Wins for the LA Kings 4-2 and and the Anaheim Ducks 3-4 means Leafs are running cold at present and enter into a game tonight versus the Philadelphia Flyers on a 4 match losing streak so lets hope for better - as i type this we are 0-0 P1 15.40.

I know the Leafs never started off the season , the way we would have liked it. But I think they might start ripping it up, as long as they come to play every night I still have faith that they will start playing well , with all the different skills they have on the team 1st place isn't that far in fron6 of us, sometimes with all the skill you have takes time to connect. The Leafs have the skill to make it into a top position in the standings, it will just take time for it. Go Leafs Go

totally agree with you - i think with specific investment in 2 or 3 key positions, we are definitely close to a title winning team.

Tomorrow nights game is a tough one! The Knights are top of their pacific division having won 11 games and only lost 2 so far...this game is about as big as a challenge our leafs need right now!

I picked the knights in my parlay they wont beat boston and vegas same week.. they finally signed an ok goalie from the marlies thats 6-0 maybe it'll improve thier team..
