Jamie McMurray wins.. My lord what a last lap.. Dale Jr coming from tenth to second on turn three was just ridiculous, the way he pushed through that pack.. I thought he was gonna take the high side of the track and try to at least chase him down at the flag but he couldnt get the angle.. Too many delays today but at least they finished under a green flag which is what we all want.

Didn't they delay the Daytona 500 for like 2 hrs to fix a pothole? What's up with that? You'd think they'd check the track BEFORE the race. I'd hate to see what a pothole would do to a car and driver at that speed. Or wait, that's right, most people watch car races for the accidents........

I'm wondering why the problems didn't start before the race. You would have thought that sometime during the Sprint practices they would have noticed that the cars were bottoming out at that point and checked the track. Let's hope they get it either repaved totally or at least better repaired before the later season race at Daytona.

At least it only took them 2 hours, our local government takes weeks to fill potholes!

It was good for the sport to see Dale Jr back in contention, even if he wasn't really there at all until the last lap.

Other than the delays the race was actually pretty good. I was glad to see McMurray win it.

I have worked a career in public works. Even in the dead of winter at minus 35 C here in canada it doesn't take two hours to fill a pot hole. Even on a Sunday you could fire up an asphalt plant in 30 minutes. Too funny!

The Boys (& Girl) will be back in town this weekend...it's 'spose to rain Sat for the Nationwide Series Sam's Town 300 though.

Jimmie Johnson is the fave to win Sunday's Nascar Sprint Cup Series Shelby American but of course the locals are gonna root for Kyle Busch as he goes for a repeat of last year.

If anyone will be in Vegas on Thurs, the Strip is shut down for the Hauler parade.
