What's a good strategy when a site offers a free bet? Bet one way on a game, then use the free bet to bet the other way?

I looked at the site's sports section, but I don't even know what the numbers mean

There are a lot of different numbers that mean a lot of different things.

parley the free bet if you can and hope you win thats what i would do
