However, Lewandowski's numbers are the best in terms of direct goal participation (goals + assists).
Lewandowski: 58 games, 64 goals, 14 assists = 78
C. Ronaldo: 55 games, 53 goals, 6 assists = 59
Messi: 49 games, 34 goals, 26 assists = 60
Mbappé: 50 games, 40 goals, 27 assists = 67
De Bruyne: 62 games, 20 goals, 37 assists = 57
I doubt you will find any other player with better numbers than him this season.
Lionel Messi has 6 Ballon d'Or, but has never achieved something with is country. Ballon d'Or is given for individuals qualities, not for what he has done with his national team. This thing some people can not understand. Robert Lewandowski is the best in every individual category on his position and everybody knows he is the best at the moment. That was with Messi and Ronaldo the past 10 years.
