Favorite Hockey team, and why?

So I actually became a Colorado fan the first year they became a team, as I always loved Forsberg, Bourque, Roy, and Adam Foote, and they won so much, I couldnt believe it, then they nose dove into never making the playoffs.
This year they were definately spectacular, and I was so impressed.

I want to know, what is your favorite hockey team, and what made you fall for them?

I cheer for most of the Canadian teams but Winnipeg and Calgary are by far my favourite teams, Manitoba boy so grew up cheering for the jets when they left I switched to Calgary now I cheer for both equally!!

How about the start by the Jets this season!! Lost last nights to Tampa but off to a great 15-2 start! Here to hoping they can keep the momentum going!

I am a die-hard Leaf fan; it is in my DNA and RNA to be one. Toronto is my birthplace, and they have never won in my lifetime. lol We are the worst and greatest fans ever

Then the doofus scored 30 seconds into overtime, when he should have been in a box. Toronto and Montreal could have gone for the cup like the golden days of six teams.

That was 30 years ago, and it still feels like yesterday.

In closing of my side subject, "why Gretzky was never the greatest" is that you cannot be the greatest player if the rules are not applied to you.

Sorry, I suppose I should probably go away before I start yelling about 55 and how much he sucked at defence until he went to Detroit, or Mr.Beepin Frasier. lol Some scars take a long time to heal. Thanks that felt good to get out of my system Go leafs Go!

Oilers. Had just started watching some hockey and paying attention during the start of the Gretz and Messier era. What an amazing time to first start watching and not yet having picked a team. The Oilers played such a wide open and high scoring style. But then for them all times we had our share of crap years like many teams do.
