It's that time again! Last season I ran a fantasy league that was very successful, by pretty much any measure. All of the teams were very active, and I thought the competition was pretty good.

However, the scoring system used last season was fairly unpopular. So this season, we'll be using something different. So I'm using this thread not only to gauge interest in the league, but also to determine which scoring system to use.

League details:

10-12 teams
$25 buy in
Draft date likely around labor day
Teams who played last year get first dibs

Oops, forgot to post the poll.

Scoring systems we could use:
-Standard scoring with an auction draft
-2QB league
-1 point per reception
-return yardage league

I am definitely in again. Is an auction draft what we did last year?

Do you mean 2 QB in every game? If so wouldn't like that I don't think. It would make the draft so messy - ugh.

1 point per reception sounds interesting.

Not sure about return yardage....

I know you like to mix things up - but I am still in a learning curve and throwing in things that you and Cody are the most knowledgeable about definitely gives you both an un-needed/unfair edge. :p

I am going to play no matter what you do - but would be happier with no additional edge given to those who know the most. You already get one just based on your extensive knowledge. :)

So whatever you wanna change up - - just keep that in mind. But I will go with the majority on anything.

As far as dates for the draft - I am good any time before Sept 8. We will probably be busy on Labor Day. Joe leaves town on Thurs that weekend and is back Sun night. I know he wants to play again too.

@Dakota: last year we had a snake draft. Auctions are just what they sound like, you get a set amount of money and bid on all your players.

@rodgbaby: We do the money through paypal, Dakota was the bank last year. The league most likely won't be both 2QB and PPR, but if everyone wants things that way, we could give it a go. And we've historically used ESPN.

I've run a PPR league for a long time, and those destroy newbies. Most people know every QB, but they may not know much about a team's 3rd WR or punt returner.

Then I definitely vote no for the PPR. :)

I am definitely in again!

But, while a few changes from last year would be OK, let's not make it so complex that any new players are put off or have no chance.
