I'm not a Man U fan but i do think Moyes has inherited a poor squad and Ferguson new he had to re build again.. If the best you could get at the start of the season was Fellani then it was always going to be a battle to stay in the hunt this season.

I guess it all stared with lord Ferguson stepping down and not sure the GM of MU has gotten the right person in new coach. Yes I am aware that hi is not the one playing on the field ..but is is the coach who should mentally prepare players for the game and push hem to their limits. I think after this disappointing season they should get someone fresh with new positive energy and the re-building of new MU start.... My guess is 2-3 years and they will be one of the UK tops teams again.

I support them too. I was expecting a difficult season after having SAF in charge for so long but nothing like this. His dallying in the summer transfer window has cost big time as well as injuries to key players and players just out of form. I'm not sure he deserves another year but I suspect he will. If the football is still crap and we're out of contention for title/top 4 places come xmas his time will be up.
Be interesting to see who he goes for in the summer assuming he is kept on as major squad surgery is required

i live just outside of tampa and the glazers are horrible as owners of sports teams. i want to think they have good intentions but they just suck. and we "over here in tampa" thought they sucked because they focused all on man-u.

Too much change too fast, now more big changes to come when he cleans house in the summer. Ferguson set United apart for years. Now he is gone, they're back in the pack with 4 or 5 others.

Go out to Olympiakos 2mrw and a humiliating defeat against City at home could seal his fate

I'm a fan of Man U, and despite our season so far the club still has my full support.
However, Moyes do not! When he was in Everton he said "I will take Everton above Manchester United".. something like that..

Mission accomplished! He should be proud of himself - if it wasn't for his position in Manchester United now.
He basically have the same squad who won the title last year, but he play them wrong, and I think you can see on the players that they don't respect him the way they respected SAF.
With the transfer of Juan Mata (and now with him having scored a goal), I think we can expect big things from the team, if we play him right.. which Moyes isn't doing.
Change back to a 4-4-2 formation.. The wing position is tough to decide, but I believe that, for the rest of the season, a line-up could be:

De Gea
Rafael-Jones-Vidic-Evra
Carrick/Fletcher/Fellaini (DM)
Valencia/Young (RM) Januzaj/Kagawa/Welbeck(LM)
Mata/Kagawa/Rooney (AM)
Rooney/Hernandez/Welbeck/RvP

That would give competition to the positions and variaty in a way that is sustainable as for players we use instead of using a different starting line-up every game.
As for Giggs, which I think is still a brilliant player, he can give competition to the entire midfield.

A plane with 'Wrong One – Moyes Out' banner flew over Old Trafford
during MU vs Aston Villa last match, it costed £840 for disgruntled MU fans.
What else can i add?
Moyes said that the money would've been better off going to charity...

I don't want to make any MU fan feel sad, but in this season MU is not the team, which can be attractive for football fans around the world. Extremely boring and awful game. I am wondering why they played 1-1 against Bayern. I expected easy win for Bayern.
Hope next game will show which club is strong, which - not.
Cheers.

Never say never, United have been extremely bad this season, but they have periods, very small periods, where they show real class. If they can get those periods to last longer, even Bayern will have a tough time against them. We saw that when they played at OT.
Despite dominating the game, Bayern didn't create any chances really, while United should have won the match.. Personally I don't see the cancelled goal as an offense that should give reason to cancel the goal, Welbeck has his foot where he should have it, the Bayern player just bend his head down..

And the 1on1 situation Welbeck had.. Good keeping by Neuer, and bad attempt by Welbeck.. nonetheless, great save.

I think it will be a close match again and I am looking forward to it!

Badly need a solid defence - Smalling, Raphael, Jones & Curtis are all very poor imo. The Midfield doesnt seem to have a clue on how they want to play, holding, passing, fluid, balanced and therefore the attack gets starved of supply.

Moyes was handed a average squad and panic bought Fellani, and van Persie back to having his injury problems he had so often with Arsenal hasn't helped.

7th in Premiership - oh dear what a disaster  - pah lol :)

agree with most of what you said ian, although i think jones is a quality player....dont think moyes is up for the job either, doesnt give off much confidence to his players...

might take 2-3 years before they challenge for the league again...need about 5-6 quality players....seem to be trying to do too much with the youth players, and living on past youth system glories...need to invest heavily, get a top top manager before they can compete with the others and build a team around mata.

Does anybody believe that they've had meetings with the coach of the Dutch national team, van gaal?

I think it would be quite interesting with him as a manager instead of Moyes.

For the UCL - Evra's goal was fantastic! After that they just threw all the defending away, they didn't do anything, and let Ribery and Robben do as they pleased. Disappointing to see when they actually had the lead for a VERY short time.. 72 seconds in all I think.. It took just about 12 seconds for Bayern to equalize.
So disappointed in that performance after the first goal.

I hope so. It's not uncommon for clubs to meet with prospective managers when they are thinking of putting somebody in place. Encouraging to hear
