This is an interesting question.

Once, while playing at the Grey Eagle Casino in Calgary, the player beside me accidently knocked his chips over in my direction. They partially mixed with my chips, so I helped him re-pile his stack while fixing up my own.

That being done, he claimed that his stack was short by $100, a black chip, if I recall correctly. When I counted my chips, the amount seemed correct and I said as much. But, the player beside me was adamant about the $100 black chip. So, I calmly asked the dealer for a camera count to settle the matter, which proved me right.

The point about this story is that sometimes chips end up in the wrong place by accident, and at other times a player can honestly think that his chips have ended up in the wrong place. The player beside me at no time called me a thief or anything. He just thought he had a missing black chip. So, he agreed to the camera count.

I do not know all the details going to the Ronaldo matter, but I wonder if something like what I have just described happenned. I wonder if he very innocently used a chip that he honestly thought belonged to him. I must admit that I find it very hard to believe that a player of his calibre would stoop to such an unnaceptable and juvenile tactic as to steal a chip that belonged to another player.

It can happen that a chip goes astray. It can happen that a player uses a chip that belonged to another player, too. I guess the questions on my mind are, "Did Ronaldo know that the chip belonged to another player?, or "Did Ronaldo honestly think that the chip was his own?."

Sometimes the eyes in the sky can't really answer these questions because cameras don't have the ability to see into a person's intent. I hope it was an honest mistake. There are way too many scandals in poker as it is...

These are dubious times , I really have doubts for both sides .more for the woman .

Ronaldo is a man , sexy and rich , he intended to have sex with her for sure . He had his friends as witnesss to support him , he is aggro sexually like in football imo ,he had proofs she went there by her own will and he could use this on his advantage... .
But rape her ,have not consensualsex and destroy his image , his career ,be a rapist , too hard for me to believe , I hope not because I am a fan of his football achievements .

The other woman went to his room with a stranger for what , to have a drink only?....ok , and later , after the rape , she didn't went straight forward to police to press charges against him and , arrest him , but to the hopital to get the examinations/proof . Then the court settlement , hundreds of thousands not to speak , I mean if I was the the raped woman , the only satisfaction would be the maximum punishment for Ronaldo , jail time , to speak and this criminal behaviour to be publicly known , and as for the money relief for the body and pschychological damage , that comes after these penalties .
