Frank Rijkaard. At one time, namely in 1990, in a match between germany and Holland, a conflict occurred between Frank Rijkaard and Rudi Völler. Only Völler turned out to be a cutie, because he did nothing, but Rijkaard tried to really annoy his opponent.First he spat at his opponent, then he started calling him names. Eventually Rudy's nerves snapped and he started trying to figure out what was going on. But the referee misunderstood and sent them both off. It's a shame that they treated a German national team player unfairly. He didn't do anything wrong. But the German national team beat their opponents and won the World Cup. Deservedly so!

Joey Barton​

Where do you even begin when it comes to why Joey Barton is such a loathed footballing figure? The stubbing out of a lit cigar in a youth player’s eye? Numerous other acts of violence on and off the pitch? His frankly disgusting social media attacks on women in football? The list goes on and on.

Barton had a long top-flight career, but his inability to behave decently means he’ll be remembered for pretty much anything but that.
